In December 2025, I was contacted by a recruiter from the THINKtogether program in Victorville,Ca regarding employment and was offered a position. They sent me out to do a fingerprint background check, a TB test. Required me to provide them my transcripts showing over 48 college credits and required me to do a mandatory test upon offering me the position as a program leader. They had me do all the new hire paperwork and come to orientation. All of this was over a 30 day period. NEVER asking me about my facial piercing or telling me that it was not allowed when I went into their office in person to do my fingerprinting. I show up on the first day of orientation with a flesh covered band-aid covering my piercing and sit in the orientation for almost 3 hours to be told to that I would not be allowed to wear a bandaid every day to work. However THINKtogether allows workers to cover facial tattoos while on duty. I believe that was UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. I also feel that this issue should/could've been addressed during the screening process. THNK together do MORE thinking before wasting people's time. read more

Horrible experience for enrollement with this new afterschool program at Curtner Elementary. Was one of the first to sign up and enroll my kid here and was told we would find out the results by July. Now its past two months during summer and school is starting early August to find out 12 hrs prior to school starting that my daughter is not in and waitlisted with absolutely no communication during the last two months. Find out many parents like I when I went to the back to school fair wanted answers inregards to enrollment and not knowing what is going on with this program. Reached out to the director and site manager via email during the last two months and kept getting me redirected to the site manager like it was not her problem and just redirecting my emails to the site manager with no regards to all my issues that I was trying to find out. Stay away from this place, they are highly unorganized, non communicative, lead people on to be thinking they will get enrolled only to turn you away at the very last minute and now all the parents have to scramble to find some day care or lose time off of work. read more

As a parent, I really value programs like Think Together that aim to help our kids after school. However, I've had some troubling experiences with one of the staff members there. I've noticed, and even seen for myself, that this staff member often targets certain students, including my child, and disciplines them without clear reasons. My child has been written up or called out for very minor things like asking a question or chatting quietly with a friend when it's allowed. When I try to ask why these actions were taken, the answers I get are unclear or don't add up. This situation has made my child feel uneasy and unsafe in the program--which goes against what Think Together stands for. After-school programs should be supportive, organized, and fair. Discipline is fine when needed and explained well, but it shouldn't feel random or aimed at specific kids. read more

As a parent, I really appreciate that Think Together offers extended care until 6 PM--this is helpful for families with long work hours. However, there are serious concerns with the structure and supervision of the program. My son currently attends only once or twice a week, usually Thursdays and Fridays, because those are the days they tend to do more fun and active things. One of the positives is that they do try to get kids involved in sports, which my son enjoys. Unfortunately, that's one of the only structured parts of the program. Most of the time, especially later in the afternoon, the kids are kept in the cafeteria where there's little structure, and that's when the bullying tends to happen. My son has been hit, isolated, and bullied several times. He's described the environment as chaotic--kids are wild, and there doesn't seem to be enough staff or strong behavior management in place. I've also noticed that some of the staff are distracted, sometimes chatting about their personal lives instead of supervising. Another issue we experienced was when a staff member became very emotional about something my son said, and instead of handling it calmly, he escalated the situation unnecessarily and refused to interact with my son's father anymore, saying he would only speak with me. He involved the principal and said the matter would be investigated, but we never received any follow-up--even after waiting several weeks. I don't feel confident in the staff's training or emotional readiness to manage kids, especially when issues arise. The program has good potential, but without stronger structure, supervision, and staff support, I can't say I feel my child is completely safe or supported there. read more

they need staff that's interested and love working with children . star program was way better . they did more activities . running exercises instead of always complaining. The staff don't do nothing fun with the kids have them sit in the cafeteria the whole time . I wish they bring star back. i wouldn't wish this afterschool program on no one. Be careful applying here and accepting an offer. I put in a 2 weeks notice at my last job after being told I was offered a position. I signed the paperwork, went to get a TB test, and background check. Everything was set until I got a surprise interview disguised as a meet and greet with a supervisor. The following day my offer was rescinded without any notice. I was going to be starting 3 days after. No response as to why they decided to rescind. Does this place ever answer the phone? Return emails? Anything? Ive tried calling countless times at ALL locations and have not been able to get at an answer from all locations dialed. For a place with such terrible reviews on yelp, indeed and google you would think you would answer the phone and maybe try to do a better job to get better ratings. read more

Worst interview experience! Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I had an interview scheduled for 12:45pm. I received an email confirmation the night before and was very excited. I set aside time and moved my schedule around to be present for it. Not to mention the fact that I invested a lot of energy and time to prepare. 12:45pm came around and no phone call. I thought the person may be running late and was open to the fact that life happens. 1pm and 2pm rolled around and no contact. No message regarding the delay. I sat there in utter disbelief. 3pm finally rolled around and at exactly 3:02pm my phone rang. The interviewer did not apologize for being hours late and did not provide any excuse for the action as if this is acceptable behavior. The interview lasted less than two minutes and was a clear reflection of how this place operates and how much they care. Stay away from this place and don't even bother unless you want your time wasted. They look for mentors and expect commitment, yet they can't even commit to a 15 minute interview. PS I read other reviews and it appears that I am not the only one who has been flaked on. This is an ongoing practice by this agency. read more

Update: Someone called from headquarters two business days later to ask about what happened and said she would talk to the staff who flaked on my interview and someone would get back to me to apologize. Three days later and no one has. I would give this company negative ten stars - I have never had such a disrespectful unprofessional interview experience in my life. read more

I'd give 0 star if I can. Worst organization ever. The website is a joke that they can't even get it right. When you register, it's either you can't find the correct option to choose from or you are not able to edit if you need to make a correction. When contacting the staff, it's always that there's something wrong on their end and they have to fix it for you. What is the point of having the website for registration if you can't make it working?? I constantly need to contact someone to fix something for me, and that someone can't even give me the right answer to help complete the registration. Or, give me the false info and then I'm not able to fix it (as said above) and have to rely on them for fixing it on their side. This is very frustrating. Lots of parents facing the same issues we just can't believe why is it so difficult to make the website work properly. read more

This program runs very low quality afterschool care within the Duarte Unified School District. Staff members are unskilled at working with children and do not provide engaging programming. Compliance is expected and children are yelled at when they make noise or need to move their bodies. read more

This program is a joke. If a kid does not like you, all he has to do is make something up, tell a site leader who than tells HQ who does a investigation where only the kid is interviewed. The kid gets to call black students derogatory names in Spanish, make fun of students who are going thru gender identity & called his ex girlfriend a doorknob. He got suspended for 5 days but it was reduced to 3 because he begged to come back. Meanwhile, I get transfered because the student who is twice my size said he is afraid of me. Forget the fact that I volunteered for many special events for this program & taught their Cooking Club, a habitual liar & con artist is better to have in the program than a older adult with a college degree read more

Very unprofessional, I worked for the ontario montclair district. I was lied to about my hours, was told I'd be working 6 hours by many higher up people. They then proceeded to WAIT until i got HIRED and only until then I was told I would only work 3 hours at a school that was 25 minutes away from me. I asked to be moved at least since being lied to about my hours and was THEN told I wouldn't be able to until my 6 months. I have never worked for a place that didn't help their employees out AND on top of that lie to their employees. I thought Think Together was this great program but again I was lied to and i'm so disappointed. If could give my experience 0 stars I would, since I can't i'm leaving a one star. I'm telling you they know how to sell their program to you and make it seem it's something great but please trust me, DONT WORK FOR THEM. I just want to help people out because at the end of the day no one deserves to be lied to and not get paid for what was originally discussed. Horrible place to work. They promote the kiss ass even if they are new I have been here for months and everyone transferred out cause of the site coordinator. Then when all the new people arrived she preferred to promote the lady who kisses her ass in less than a week. She always finds something to complain about we are only here for 2 1/2 hours and on top of that always finds a reason to yell at me for. She never complains about anyone else but me yes I make mistakes it's normal but sometimes I don't do anything wrong and she has to always make up a lie to nag me about. read more

I am writing my review because I see how hard the staff here works with the kids. My child attends Ramona Elementary in Bellflower. My child is a bit shy and she has come out of her shell since she's in the program. Mr. Maalo is outstanding with the kids and Ms. Raquel Vazquez is extraordinary with the kids and the parents. I read the reviews and its hard to see that,. YES Parents can be bullies- I have seen it. And the kids can be bad too and they bring that baggage to the program. SO -please try and understand that the staff makes adjustments to all personalities and have to get to know each kid. I am glad they are here and excited for the new year since they are always training to do better. Please be kind and if you feel you can afford after school care then go ahead and make space for kids and parents who will appreciate it. A big Thank you to THINK TOGETHER :) read more

I worked here for 3 years in Moreno Valley and they slowly but surely did less and less for the kids. I was lead 3 months into working with think together, I knew my stuff and took over for all 3 site coordinators that came and went while I worked at my 1 site. I got pregnant and it all went down hill from there, they wouldn't let me sit at 8 months pregnant even with my dr note and my boss at my site gave my my first AND ONLY bad review and after I complained about the lies in the review and turning in additional proof, my QAC(My bosses boss) came and followed me around telling me I couldn't sit even though my dr note said I could and made me go out to catch (p.e) even though my dr note said not to be around the kids during physical activities. HR girl Karla eventually said "let's be honest Monica, can you even do your job??" I was absolutely floored, then Santa Ana HR stood behind her very inappropriate comment. I would NEVER let my kids go to think together. They are frauds and don't care about the kids at all or their employees. read more

At this point I am so upset with this whole program, and even tho I am a single mother and cant afford after school care, I think it's in my children's best interest to remove them from this program asap!! If I have to pay for daycare and struggle day to day it will all be worth it to get my children away from these people. LAST WEEK THE ON-SITE SUPERVISOR MS WHITE VIOLATED MY SON'S PRIVACY RIGHTS BY TELLING HIS WHOLE CLASD THAT HE WAS LEAVING FOR THERAPY. The next day the kids were bullying him and making fun of him for "taking anger management classes" for his "anger issues" completely unacceptable and I'm fed up. When i called her supervisor to complain, ironically my daughter gets in trouble for something she didnt do. So this retaliation for me complaininf about her again is getting my daughter in trouble. This is bullshit!! Can't this program find capable people or at the very least train them on how to do their jobs right?? This year of 2020 would officially be my 3rd year working for Think Together as a Program Leader. however, it has had its cons and pros, but by the looks of it, I feel like I Have not gotten any support from them. Money is the root of all evil and to top it off, the point of working for this company is for the children. Which is my WHY, only those working for T.T would know what that means. It seems that's they're just there for the $ and when it comes to certain topics about "pay", us PROGRAM LEADERS are supposed to get a review and I have spoke with the main office in Santa Ana and they all come up with the same excuse. $12 isn't going to cut it & neither is a 25cents review aka "raise". Also to top it off, other schools are paying theyre program leaders with $13! Which is by far more than $12. So anyone who wants to work with this company, please be cautious and ASK lots of questions when getting hired. My heart has always been for the kids, but sometimes life hits us and we gotta make some wise choices for our future. read more
