Behavior Frontiers - Behavior Frontier In-Home Autism Care

This review is for the OC-South region…read more Savannah has gone above and beyond to support my child and implement a care plan that is best for her. My daughter needed ABA services in her private Montessori school. Over the last two years we have had a few different BCBAs and BTs on our case that all had to go through additional background checks just to enter the school and work with my daughter. They then spent many hours in discussions with myself and the school staff to craft a therapy plan that would work in the school environment, which had a significant numbers of rules that were particularly challenging for ABA. The staff at Behavior Frontiers never gave up, never phoned it in, and always gave everything they had to ensure my daughter was getting what she needed. They gave professional advice whilst also letting me feel like I can make whatever choice is right for my daughter. That is a fine line to walk sometimes but I always appreciated the honest feedback. There were a handful of times when I didn't think a BT was the right fit with my daughter or I didn't like a specific technique being used and their BCBAs never made me explain why, they simply made the necessary change and asked for feedback if I was comfortable. The value that Behavior Frontiers has contributed to my life cannot be calculated. My daughter has improved with so many of her goals and my whole extended family now knows how to communicated with her on her terms. Behavior Frontiers has helped me understand my daughter in a way that I would not have achieved on my own and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Steph, Soo, Jonna, Yvonne, and Savannah

AVOID this place. Huge turnover rate not only with BTs but…read morewith scheduling staff. In the world of ABA, high turn over rates is expected. But this place is a nightmare due to poor communication between staff members and scheduling department is incompetent. I have to call multiple times just to make sure our session location was changed or to cancel a session. There's been countless time the changes don't go through even after calling many times about the same scheduling issue! They're working with special needs family and we're very busy but they can't even get scheduling right the first time.

Since 2018 my life has never been the same, my beautiful two year old was diagnosed with Austism…read more We were pretty much told that she would most likely need therapy her entire life, would need to be placed on medication for her behaviors, will need special education class, never develop her speech, and May never be able to express emotion. As a parent it absolutely broke my heart, they basically told me she would never be able to express how much she loves me or be able to tell me that. My husband and I automatically made it out mission to get her all the help she needed, we placed her ABA, Speech and OT for two years straight. Even-though it did help I still felt like there was more I could do to help her. Brain Balance at Anaheim Hills was the missing piece to the puzzle, a blessing in disguise and the light at the end of the tunnel. I called as soon as she turned 4 years old July2020, and even though we were in the middle of the Pandemic they were will be meet with us and help. Since the beginning it did sound too good to be true but the Director reassured me that they can not cure her Austim but that they would give me the tools to help give her the best future. I respected him so much when he informed me that this was not a temporary solution that this was a LIFESTYLE change. My Husband and I were both up for the challenge and have never looked back since then. By October 2020 we sat down for dinner together for the first time ever without a tantrum and by December 2020 my daughter started putting together 3 words phrases. Fast forwarding to now my daughter is in general education, has friends, play days, extremely social, can be in crowded environments without her covering her ears, and tells me constantly how much she loves me and gives the warmest hugs. I truly believe this program works and each and every trainer has been amazing. They have became family to me because they gave me the tools that I needed to bring light back into my baby girl.

My child was having a hard time with focus and was a bit clumsy. I didn't know how to help my kid…read morebut I knew that something could be better, even though the doctor said that some kids are delayed in different areas and not to worry. I didn't accept that, I knew I could do something to assist. I started researching and looking into how to assist with focus. I came across Brain balance and started reading about the Harvard study. I knew the whole body approach was the way to help with the areas of struggle. With consistency , daily home exercises, and changing some of the processed food, I stated seeing significant changes by month 3. My child was behind 3 levels in reading, now my child is reading at the age appropriate level. Next, the focus has substantially changed and there is minimal struggles with homework and daily activities. The teacher is amazed in the progress and the changes she sees in the classroom. The best thing as a parent is seeing a child succeed in different areas everyday. My child doesn't fall or bump into things as often, actually hardly now. The confidence is at a level I have never seen. I am so happy for my child, and look forward to how the next 3 months transform her life.

I want to begin by acknowledging the challenges teachers and school staff face. I appreciate their…read moreefforts and understand that working with students is not always easy. However, my concern lies not with the educators broadly, but specifically with the treatment my child received from a counselor at the school. Do not register your child at this school and if you do stay on top of their counselors and teachers and speak up for your child. Had I been aware sooner of the internal emotional and mental struggle my child endured due to this counselor's behavior, I would have addressed it much earlier. Teenagers often don't speak up about these kinds of issues, as they are navigating their own challenges, so I do not blame my child for remaining silent. That said, I strongly believe the school must carefully consider who it hires for such crucial roles. It's essential to thoroughly vet candidates and not simply hire based on tenure, connections, or convenience. This ensures that students receive the support and encouragement they deserve. I am specifically referring to Michelle Parizeau, who, in my experience, has been detrimental to my child's well-being. During the few meetings I attended regarding my child's progress and scheduling, I was struck by her apparent lack of empathy and dismissive attitude towards both me and my child. It felt as though Ms. Parizeau held herself in high regard but showed little regard for the needs or feelings of the students she is meant to support. On multiple occasions, my child shared with me that Ms. Parizeau told her she would never graduate, would not amount to anything, and would need to attend community college instead of a four-year institution. These statements were not only discouraging but deeply damaging. Despite these negative messages, my child graduated on time, earned extra credits, and is now attending college. Teachers and counselors should motivate and uplift students, not tear them down or diminish their potential. The lasting impact of Ms. Parizeau's behavior has been so severe that my child is in therapy sinc she finally started telling me about what really happened and struggles to even talk about her high school experience. I am not surprised they painted the entire campus in prison-like colors--because that's exactly how the students are treated. The atmosphere feels punitive and unwelcoming, which only adds to the stress and challenges students face. This environment is far from what a supportive and nurturing school should provide. I urge the school to thoroughly review appropriate action to ensure that no other student has to endure such harmful treatment in the future.

Students deserve respect, especially in an educational environment. It is concerning that individuals who choose to work with students act in this manner. If staff are unhappy working with kids, they should not be in this profession. This behavior reflects poorly on the school. I'm truly surprised this behavior is tolerated. In particular, the blonde, curly-haired staff member is so rude and should do better and maybe rethink her profession.
