The Georgiana Tibbits Suite was beautifully furnished and the house, which was purchased about a year ago and restored to its original glory, was just gorgeous inside and out. My only regret is not taking advantage of the fact that we were the only guests and tour the other rooms. All the suites are unique. We did, however, take advantage of wine hour in the music room/parlor and breakfast at the beautiful window seat in the dining room. Meldalina is an excellent cook! I am happy to say that I have just returned from a weekend girl's retreat with my best friend here. We were so happy with everything they offered. Our vineyard one room was just breathtaking.The room was clean, spacious, rustic ,and beautiful. Waking up to see the vineyard every morning was delightful. Our bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on besides my own bed. The bed sheets were everything. I ended up asking where I could buy the sheets from haha. I loved that our room was next to the wine bar . The wine bar was self serve and on an honor system . So you could get wine whenever you wanted and pay for it at check out. I typically don't like red wines, but their dessert wine was so amazing that, I bought two bottles. I found it so cool that they had their own vineyard with their own wines. Breakfast every morning was five stars. Dave is not only an amazing host but also such an amazing cook. He made the most incredible meals with the freshest ingredients. He used coffee grinds around pork tenderloin with chutney and I was just blown away. This meal is what he referred to a cedar version on steak and eggs! I could get used to eating breakfast like that everyday. The potatoes hash was pure genius. Also Dave gave great suggestions for dinner and for places to go hiking. Genuinely the sweetest and coolest guy ever. I just loved this bed and breakfast so much. Everyone was so friendly. I loved the fire pit outside. I loved the Keurig and biscotti.I loved the common area with the pool table, books, games, popcorn, Netflix etc. I loved the well kept grounds, and the vineyard was so beautiful. Thank you cedar house for the most epic retreat ever . I feel so recharged. I needed a zen weekend and that's exactly what I got. I met pretty cool down to earth people. I ate five star breakfasts. I drank amazing wine. Also enjoyed great music at the fire pit. They really just thought of everything there. All the small details doesn't go unnoticed. The rooms are clean, uniquely decorated, and cozy. My friend and I both slept so well! The inn itself is centrally located to the main town center. It was very easy to walk everywhere, like the bookstore, the train station, and all the local restaurants. Two highlights of the stay: Michael's freshly made breakfast and the two Dalmatian puppies. Harley and Winston came wiggling into the main area and brightened up the day. I hope to return on my next trip to the east coast.

The proprietor, Victoria, is exceedingly friendly as well as a wealth of information about the local area including where to eat. I found her descriptions and recommendations to be spot on. Breakfast is elegant. It is casual for the guest, but the table is nicely set and the food is freshly made and delectable. The weather was great during our stay so we got to enjoy a day at the beach. There are beach chairs and beach blankets available to borrow, as well as a parking pass for the Madison beaches. Victoria has really made it easy to enjoy Madison and makes you feel at home. I found everything to be in close proximity. The historical sites in Guilford are about 5 miles and the Madison beaches about 1 mile, and the on-ramp to I-95 is about 1 mile.

A pool and plenty of seating outside both under cover and under the sky. We played corn hole the last day. Cute shaped pool is 4-9 ft. Guests must be able to do stairs as there are three floors. I stayed in "William" which had a chair, two lights, a sink, fridge, two windows and full sized bed. I didn't mind sharing the bathroom/shower. I came here for a relaxing weekend and got just that!
