This has been my go to Pet store for my do Cookie since I moved to the Rio Grande Valley 3 years ago. Normally I have been treated with care and respect while here. Note that I have been going to this store since I lived here so this is not a one time exposure. I have had more bad customer service in Grooming and don't have much exposure to the rest of the store. I have contacted the manager before with no response and no action taken but this department well....has given me a black eye more than once. Yesterday was the worst & the last straw for me, Customer Lost. I had a 10 am appt made that morning around 9 am. I forgot I had a Dr. appt at 11 am. So in a hurry, I dropped off my dog at 9:30am which I had never done before. The store was open, grooming of course was open but when I entered no one was front. I called and called out to no response for over 5 min. so I went thru the gate and saw an older lady in the back with the door closed with ear protection on . She was in a panic probably from me and that I entered her space. I said I don't want you to do anything but take my dog..she has an appt 10am. When I picked up my dog a young lady addressed me and in a very rude manner read me the rules for entering as I did. She would not stop for anything. So I say to you....don't open grooming earlier than the store or make your groomers stay out front at all times. Also you might mention when you make an early apt to state that pets will not be accepted before their appt time. The only thing lacking is good communication, but there is a young lady there that ALWAYS smoothes things over. So I've got to give them some kudos for that! I just prefer not to have to smooth things over upon each visit, but given the drive of each individual, some more ambitious to charge extra than others, I think if they come together and form stronger leadership they will flourish as a business. Again, polite, kind, and caring. If you add consistency to this dynamic, you'll have a perfect place where you can feel 100 percent happy to leave your family (fur-baby) under their care. I'd give them a 5 if communication was clear, but it was almost going to leave a score of 3, if the young lady wasn't always there to keep my billing consistent and fix the miscommunications. They have a great location, clean facility, cute ideas, just need to be consistent and keep up with competitive pricing.
