They were rude, unprofessional and consistently unavailable due to short staffing. It took 6 weeks to schedule a surgery that had no actual proper time. I was told I might be the last one of the day and they'd call the day before. Who can wait until then to get someone to bring them to surgery for the next day and know when to pick them up on the following day? I had medication questions that no one could answer and the medication I take could cause me to bleed out/throw a clot. It was too much so I canceled my surgery.

I had a very good experience with them in Overland Park, KS, where I received diagnosis and physical therapy for a fall I'd sustained in 2018. I visited this location in Columbia, SC, last year when I thought I may have broken my big toe. I received excellent service. The nurse practitioner was great. So when it became evident I had been injured from a fall at work this past May of '22, I felt sure I would be taken care of. The two initial appointments were with the nurse practitioner and she was great. She sent me up for PT, x-rays and MRIs. I started PT and, following the MRIs, I was scheduled to see the Medical Director. This is where it gets bad... He had not even looked at my MRI report before coming into the room. He spent what seemed an eternity reading and typing. He eventually told me that my knee was bone on bone and that the fall had not altered anything. He then told me I had a tear in a tendon in my right shoulder. When I asked questions he was curt and condescending. He said he was referring me to an Ortho. I asked if I should continue the PT I had started a couple of weeks earlier and he said yes. He said it might heal on its own. He said I might see an Ortho right away or months from now. He scheduled me to come back in a week. I left worried and depressed. When I saw the physical therapists the following week, I told them I wasn't happy with the doctor. They looked at the MRI report and said it looked like the tear was in the bursae and not in a tendon. The doctor had not read the report correctly. This is where it gets worse... This morning I went to my follow up appt with this so called doctor. He didn't remember me. He said, "you're not getting physical therapy, right?". I assured him that I have been. For three weeks now. I sat there and let him hang himself. He asked about my foot. I said it was my right knee and right shoulder that had taken the impact of the fall. I informed him that I was scheduled to see an Ortho next week. He seemed surprised and said that once I see the Ortho, my care would transfer over to that practice. "Good", I said. "Great!". Thank God. The staff at this Concentea is great. I can't praise them enough. The Medical Director needs to be retired. Not only was his manner and appearance off-putting, he smelled bad. His shoes looked to have had dog shit on them. I kid you not.
