I was able to make an appointment the day before, for an hour massage. My massage was great! Marti was my masseuse and she did a great job. She listened to what I requested and reminded me to tell her how to adjust the pressure, if needed. I didnt need to, she was very intuitive. It was very relaxing and therapeutic for my neck and shoulder. We were only in town for a couple days. Otherwise I would be going back for a 90 minute massage next time. I came in on a whim for a 60 min Swedish massage with Tracy. I thank my lucky stars I called because the receptionist says they are always booked in advance. I just got into town after an 11 hr road trip from California. My back was extremely tense from the drive and my sciatic nerve has been troubling me. I explained to Tracy exactly what I needed and boy did she deliver. My massage was amazing! Great pressure, great technique, and I upgraded to hot stones. An absolute game changer! Therapeutix is my favorite place to get a massage in Utah. I used to have an Elements Massage subscription but could never get in and their locations are limited. The salon smells great, the staff is friendly and helpful and they often have availability. I have been to 3 different therapists (when I need to get in, it is usually last minute) and they were all top notch. I absolutely love this place. I've been going to Lori for facials and eyebrow waxing for years. She is worth every penny and more. She takes her time and her experience really shows! She turns my bushy eyebrows into feminine, pretty ones. Her facials are heavenly. I'd recommend any of her treatments!! You can't go wrong! This place is very awesome! I called the day before I left on my Puerto Rico trip to get eyebrows done and tinting and they were able to book me no problem. All the staff is superrrr nice! Lori did my brows and I expressed my concern about how I had moved from Cali where my original lady retired after 15 years of doing my brows and that each person I had gone to had botched them up. She listened to me and told me what we needed to do. I'm very patient when it comes to growing out my brows so I can not wait for the end result but the tinting job she did was perfect. I am traveling and hoped to get same day appointment for a pedicure. Although, they were booked the staff were so friendly and sweet to take my name and number in case of a no show. I stopped by to check if they had a no show at the time I needed. Again staff were extremely polite when letting me know everyone showed up. They went out of their way to help me find somewhere I could go to walk in and gave me directions. The atmosphere was serene and relaxing definitely was what I was looking for in a spa experience. I can see why they are booked up! They easily could have reacted negatively knowing I would never be a customer. Zero Stars. Do not go here. They do not take the health and safety of their employees or their customers seriously. They have a sign on their door that says something to the effect that they want to "see your smile" and masks are NOT required. This should have tipped us off to just walk away but since they would have charged us for it anyway, we decided to make sure we wore our masks and hopefully it wouldn't be that bad. I was hopeful when one of the massage therapists asked us if we would be more comfortable if they wore masks. We told them we would. When they came into the room only one therapist had a mask on. The other one refused to wear one. The actual massages were adequate but definitely subpar. They did not focus on areas we asked them to and after several attempts to get them to do deeper pressure, I finally just gave up. I was content just knowing I would never go there again. Then the company sent me several requests to give them a review and finally after over a week of this I replied to an email that had a yes or no option if I would recommend them. I clicked no and was hoping this would be the end of it. The company started to text me and wanted to know why I wouldn't recommend them. I explained that I did not think they took adequate measures to protect from the spread of COVID. They replied "this establishment supports freedom of choice!" and sent me a bunch of flag emojis. I agree with freedom of choice but why is your freedom to potentially spread COVID more important than your customers freedom to not get sick when they patronize your business. You would think that at least they could look at it from a purely fiscal perspective and want to make sure to do their part to slow the spread so that we can keep our workforce from getting sick and shutting down our economy. Zero stars for the business and two starts for the massages. read more
