I am visiting family from LA and was super excited to use this facility since everything is closed there. I had an amazing facial with Jody last Friday. My skin was so smooth and glowing. It's still the smoothest it's been in months. I went back a week later and just finished a specialty 75 minute massage with Nathaniel. I am also an independent Massage Therapist in LA, so my standards can be kind of high - it was the best massage I've had in a long long time. You can book online at any time (which I did at 2am) and you get a confirmation email and call. Unfortunately, I ran into a last minute conflict, sent an email and the owner got me rescheduled immediately. When you walk in, there's a super peaceful vibe. Oils are being diffused, there's calming music, and someone greets you as soon as you walk through the door. I've been in places that have those paper rolls on their tables like a doctor's office. I noticed that they have warmed sheets down which is way more comfy. They do a lot in this one place. There are yoga classes, hypnosis, facials, waxing, they sell doTerra... it's a one stop shop! I have only booked with Laura because I had such a great experience. She is so sweet, she explains everything thoroughly, and she's very knowledgeable. We've talked about all of her additional training and certifications because she wasn't satisfied with her esthetician's certification. Honestly, it shows. Completely different experience this time, and I bump them up to 5 stars! I received another massage by Tamara, this time a relaxation massage for 30 minutes. She was receptive to my needs, instructive, and I left feeling completely relaxed. I wold do the relaxation massage again over the sports or deep tissue, even though I am a runner. Tamara's pressure was enough to relieve even the worst of my stress knots. All for 35 dollars, before tip.. Which is a great value! The waiting area is a great place to hang out with the aromatherapy of the essential oils in the diffuser and the complimentary coffee and tea. read more

He literally had me on my stomach for almost the whole hour with him literally staying in one area and doing very small circular movements almost like poking me. I explained I fell down stairs and he laughed at me. He wanted to keep talking and I don't think he even read my intake sheet. So spent time explaining what I wrote on the sheet. I took my husband here for our anniversary. I gave them three stars because while I was less then satisfied with my experience my husband loved his. He got a deep tissue massage. I thought that's what I had gotten us both but mine felt like more like an expensive lotioning. I hesitated to say anything because I kept thinking she was building up to some deeper pressure but then she'd stop and move somewhere else. It was relaxing, but she just didn't get any of my knots out. My husband felt over powered by the smells in the lobby but I thought it smelled like a lot of spas I've been to ‍. Other spas I've been to also had a whisper policy in place when back by the rooms but there were a few outbursts from the hall while we were there. This review is only for the yoga classes offered at Therapeutic Indulgence (I haven't gotten any massages or spa treatments there). I highly recommend Jamie Robinson's yoga classes. Right now, I believe he teaches on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings as well as Friday afternoons. Jamie is an excellent teacher: his practice is wonderful, he's very aware of the dynamics of each class, he's fun, and he challenges you. His 10-week sessions are offered at a great price. In addition, the space is wonderful. The house is beautiful and the room where we practice is a great size (not too big, not too small) with tons of props for everyone to use. read more

Yoga room way too small and beyond 4 people no room to stretch arms out. I found that while massage was very fine it is impossible to reschedule if you need to cancel an appointment. Waiting two weeks is way too long. The receptionist is not helpful at all and does not seem to understand the nature of client and therapist relationship. Have had massages by two different therapists now, and would say two of the best I've had. Sara was very skilled, and thorough. She did a fantastic job loosening up my back and mouse knots in my traps and arms. She was very attentive to areas of trouble that she felt, and inquired several times if the pressure was enough. Definitely recommend for great massage therapy. Dena was terrific as well. She was attentive, and very good at releasing areas of tension in the upper back and arms. I came here for a facial to help my acne and was immediately impressed by the relaxing atmosphere. At the beginning of my facial, everything seemed to be okay - the esthetician did some massaging, a mask, and extractions. However, she then put coconut oil on my face which is one of the worst comedogenic ingredients. Three days after my facial, my skin looks the worst it's looked in years. I want to cry when I look at the number of breakouts I have. Although my esthetician was extremely kind and I wish I came out of the appointment with my skin looking better (or at least the same) I have breakouts in parts of my face I never have before. I am surprised that coconut oil is even used on guests who are there for acne treatment as it is so widely recognized as a breakout cause. I truly feel bad that this happened as everything else about my experience was great, however the extensive massaging of a comedogenic ingredient on active breakouts has made me completely lose trust in this place. read more

Connie is seriously a miracle worker. I've had issues with migraines my whole life - tried medications, dietary restrictions, etc. to no avail - and the work she does on my shoulders, upper back, and neck have given me enough relief to go about my daily life with minimal migraine symptoms! I go about once a month and she's very sweet and caring, but isn't afraid to work the knots out with a firm hand. Kim Miller is the most incredible esthetician I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is a magician with wax. I grew out my unibrow for six months prior to booking an appointment with her and she whipped those fuzzy caterpillars right into shape. I now have eyebrows comparable to those of a grecian goddess. She's also the only person I will ever trust to wax my butthole. Seriously, laugh all you want but nothing feels better than having a beautiful, sweet, caring lady gently wax away unsightly body hair in the relaxing, dreamlike atmosphere that is Therapeutic Indulgence. Just had fantastic deep tissue massage with Tammy. She really dug into my sore rotator cuff, concentrated stretching and pushing and wow! I took a waxing trip to TI given I was new to the area. Pros: First I got lost due to google map showing a wrong address. I was 15 mins late to my appointment. They gladly took me in. The aura and setup is good and peaceful to showcase they are a high end salon. Cons: Waxing service sucks! I went in for full legs and full arms wax. The lady was 3 months in her job and was using the sugar wax. She had to go through each region on my leg 3 times to get all the hair out. I had full growth, still it was the case. Both her and I were frustrated. It was evident waxing is not their strengths. It is first time in my life I had such an experience. Usually I get both full legs and full arms get waxed in an hour or max 1.5 hrs. It took her 1.5 hours just to get the legs done and she suggested we don't do arms! And I had to show multiple spots that were left out. Still there are patches of hair left. The receptionist didn't show any empathy or willingness to my feedback on their service. They didn't seem to care. Never going back. You need to improve your customer service and attitude towards your customer. read more

For those with chronic muscle ache she employs deep tissue massage that not only relieves the aches but releases enough endorphins that I sometimes have to stop and try to remember how to tie my shoes after a massage. I am a customer who has been utilizing TI services for a while now. I am writing because of a bad experience I had with scheduling issues. I booked my appt. online, weeks in advance. The day before my appt. I got a call from the receptionist asking if I could change the appt. I was able to move my appt. up. But, by moving my appt. up, I would be coming to TI straight from work. No, biggie. The next day, I rushed from work to TI for my long awaited appt. Only to find out, my appt. had been cancelled. As I entered the building, the receptionist informed me that she had called me about 45 minutes earlier to reschedule due to the massage therapist being ill. I pulled my phone out and checked it, yes, I had a missed call and a voice mail. I explained to the receptionist that I came straight from work and that I do not have my phone on at work. The receptionist did not seem all that apologetic. The receptionist then tried to reschedule me for the weekend. I told the receptionist that I did not want to come in on the weekend. The receptionist asked me again if I wanted to make an appt. for that weekend. Once again I stated I did not want to come in on the weekend. Finally I said I will just leave without rescheduling. The receptionist did not seem to care. This was very poor customer service. I understand people get ill and may have to be called away for an emergency. Life happens. But calling to cancel my appt. only 45 minutes before my scheduled time is in very poor taste. I am not sure if TI understands that people have jobs and are not glued to their phones 24/7. If there was an issue, why was I not called earlier in the day? This whole experience has left me with an unfavorable view of TI. read more

I was really impressed with my first visit, which was a prenatal massage with Dena. It was relaxing and I felt very comfortable with her. My second trip was disappointing. I booked another prenatal massage but this time with Tamara. I would not recommend her if you are pregnant! She had no idea I was there for a prenatal massage and asked me to lie down on my stomach to start! I am clearly like 5 months pregnant. I told her I wouldn't be able to do that and she quickly apologized. There are certain areas you cannot massage on a pregnant woman because you may induce contractions and I was now nervous that she did not know what she was doing! Her massage was more deep tissue than relaxing and I actually had to ask her to back off twice. The rest of the day I had Braxton-Hicks contractions which I have not had yet this pregnancy, and the next day I was sore and tender in the areas she worked on my back. I did drink plenty of water, around a gallon, throughout the rest of the day after my massage so I don't think that was the reason for my complaints. Anyway, I would go back but definitely not with her. read more
