The facility is amazing with so much to offer, including daycare! They even allow you early access to the facility an hour before business is open, and late access until midnight, even though the main part of the facility closes at 9pm. With a member key card you can continue to work out on the machines, track, and free weights until Midnight. They have a plethora of classes going all the time including spin class, Pilates, and my absolute favorite workout... Cardio Drumming!!! Mostly I have been using the Pool and have made some great friends with regulars. If I do nothing else, I at least do the pool. There is a 4 lane lap pool, a therapy pool, and a large hot tub. They even have water aerobics classes. There is literally something her for everyone! The atmosphere is chill and inviting with a sense of acceptance for everyone. I have seen people using walkers, canes, and wheelchairs to navigate the facility, and the services provided, and... that includes the pool area. They are very equipped for disabilities and special needs of all types. The cost of Membership is right on point for what they offer. Did I mention there's a complementary coffee and tea bar, dining area, and they even have nutritious meals you can opt to purchase. No cash on hand - no problems you can add it to your tab.

Geez, some people just like to whine to feel better about themselves. Now on to the actual review. I like this PF in Mishawaka because it's 24 hours. I was a grad student when I joined and having a gym with 24 hr access was important to me. The nice thing about this one is that it's always clean, never gets too crowded (peak hours are after-work rush) and the staff is generally friendly-although there seems to be a high turnover as of late, a lot of new faces recently. I've gone to workout at a variety of hours, from 6am, to 2pm, to after 8pm. I'd say the 6-7:30ish window on weekdays is probably the most crowded. On the weekends the place is pretty much deserted. What's nice though is that no matter what time you go, you can always see employees cleaning up. (Although I will say as of late that this seems to have dropped off a bit during evening hours. Not sure if this is a policy change or due to an understaffing issue). Recent problems I've noticed include: paper towel dispensers at the designated locations only have one full at a time (on repeated visits this has held true), I'm assuming this is due to efforts to minimize waste (and the bottom line), but during peak hours this is kind of annoying. I also noticed at some point earlier this year they removed the scale from the women's locker room, which I think is just silly. It was in there for years previously and there was really no reason to remove it. If people don't want to use it, they don't have to. We're all adults and responsible for our own decisions. I also will say be careful in the parking lot, some people drive through there like they don't have a brain. td,dr; Clean gym, cheap fees, open 24 hours, plenty of parking out front.

I wish it was closer (~25 miles), but I'm glad it was within a drivable distance! The instructor was friendly (I arrived about 15 minutes early) and the class was small (though I assume mainly because of the holidays). The store/workout space was clean and spacious, and we had plenty of room to move. I'll definitely be back on my next visit! I know it's not up to the franchisee's, but I do wish there was something like "Pure Passport" where we could use our membership at another studio... or even just pay a lower rate for a drop-in class ($25/class would quickly add up, especially on top of a monthly rate).

Also, The hours suck for people who want to work out on sundays or at night the rest of the week. I got a membership at planet fitness just for the availability. The one thing I liked about this gym was the sauna. It's the only sauna in town as far as I know. Usually it's pretty dark in there but today I dropped my water bottle and turned on my flashlight to grab it and became very DISTURBED! Nicotine packets on the wall. Black mystery substance on the floor on top of old laminate tiles that they just placed the sauna wood on top of. I'm honestly scared to come back to the sauna and that's a bummer.

It looks dirty everywhere and all the equipment is old. Hardly any cardio machines. There is a locker room, but all the lockers had locks on them because they were already in use so I had to just leave my bag under the bench which made me uncomfortable. When I went back into the locker room there were women in there taking up a lot of space, practicing their posing for a bodybuilding contest. Which is fine, but they gave me dirty looks when I had to say excuse me & walk past them to grab my bag. 95% men in there. Staring was constant. Lastly, you know when you can tell people are not all natural? That feel was abundant, for the men and women. If you're looking for that vibe, this gym is for you. I won't be going back
