I hate when people are pretentious or act so "high class" that they look their nose down at customers... I really hate that! I waited for about 20 minutes after my appointment time... and didn't do so in a relaxation room or while enjoying fruit flavored water, instead I waited in their lobby for someone to arrive at the front desk. From there I was taken to a room asked to change and immediately walked to a service room (no relaxing, no hot tea, nothing... just straight to my facial( where I endured the worst facial I've ever had followed by the worst massage I've ever had. An esthetician is supposed to ask you about your skin & your need and isn't supposed to make comments that are negative about your skin quality or tone... I'm supposed to feel amazing, not self conscious and unless you're just THAT GOOD (and this visit, she wasn't) you need to ask me about my skin. Extractions, while painful, are an important part of a facial and I had none. It was really just less than OK and that's unacceptable. My massage left even more to be desired. I took control and explained that I just wanted to relax... instead she asked me tons of questions and then talked for the majority of the massage. I HATE THAT! This isn't social hour and I don't want to be friends... I want a massage and I want to relax! I made mention that she was hurting me... and it was like I didn't say anything... I just tried to endure it and still left a good tip, but I really didn't want to. They didn't have tip envelopes and all just stared at me... waiting. That is sooo unprofessional, but I didn't expect much more after an overall bad experience. I had two more services on the package I'd booked, but I'm not going to use them. I would not recommend Zuri and it's too bad... because the alternative... Natural Oasis isn't great either!

I am an experienced massage therapist and have certain expectations from AMTA-certified massage therapists. I signed up for a 50-minute Healer session with no extras since it was my first time visiting NOW. I let her know my left hand was sore and asked her not to go too deeply around the small area by my thumb that I showed her and she understood. But then, after working on my back for most of the session, she only worked on my hands and arms for a few minutes each! All other areas were addressed, briefly, BUT my feet, neck, and scalp were completely SKIPPED over. I wanted this to be the best massage I ever had as my daughter has gone to NOW Massage in Los Angeles and raves about it and knows how much I've needed one! It wasn't that. And I'm sad. There were many things the therapist did RIGHT and great, but there was a bit of a disconnect and I left feeling unbalanced rather than balanced, which is the goal of theHealer session. Maybe she just lost track of time - or maybe it is standard policy to skip feet and scalp? All that said, I'm not giving up. I'll come back in a week or so and try a different therapist.

They will not allow you to stop the subscription to catch up. I had some extenuating life circumstances and could not get there and so now I get to lose hundreds of dollars which may now be over a thousand for nothing. Just billed to my credit card each month. I feel sorry for the front desk staff, Ive heard them get an earful from upset customers while standing in the lobby. I'll never recommend anyone get the monthly membership, you may save a few dollars on the front end, but you definitely lose big time on the back end, if life happens.

The space is so clean and intimate you feel like she is there just for you. I have never had a more comfortable bed, hers was Tempur-pedic and heated so I didn't get cold and uncomfortable like I usually do at other places. Dorothy is super talented and knowledgeable, she is my new go to gal. Cannot wait for my next visit!!! I drive an hour and a half to come and see her, it's that worth it!
