Unlike the venue in Hollywood, Florida, which is near our home, this one is larger and brighter and more spacious. The food is just as good and the atmosphere also is cheery and bright. We had the saganaki and the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were very good. Although we are used to cold, marinated octopus we thoroughly enjoyed this grilled version. For dinner, hubby had the lamb board and I had the slow-cooked lamb. Both were savory and satisfying, and we had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. Dinner for 2 with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, tax, and tip was $137.

It was fun to see.they had belly dancers that danced around the tables throughout the dining hall. Came here as recommended by my friend whose husband is Greek. Ordered several dishes but I was disappointed at my order, the Bifteki. It was dry and a bit on the dark side. Was not a fun of the taste. I was wrong to expect it to be like the traditional kobideh. It was so dry I asked for the tzatziki but I had to pay extra, was really disappointed. Got the DIY hummus which you have to smash on wooden mortar with a pestle--not a fun of it either but ok, the flavor was there. The Lemon chicken was surprisingly good. The Pastitsio was the best, very rich in Greek cheeses. This was the best one from all that we've ordered. Service was ok, nothing special and the ambience was loud. Perhaps on another weekday it won't be this loud.

The restaurant itself is teeny, but has a really cute atmosphere with Santorini images and Greek scenes throughout. Looks like it's a super popular takeout spot too. We went full vegetarian and got an assortment of platters and dishes including dolmades, falafel, Greek salad, and various dips. Every single bite was exceptional. Fresh, bright, and well seasoned. I ate a ton but didn't feel too full for baklava! Truly so impressed by the meal. We'll definitely be returning!

I ordered via DoorDash and For nearly $69 before tip, I expected fresh, flavorful Greek food. Instead, much of the meal tasted like it came straight from a grocery store container rather than being made in-house. The hummus was bland and unusually runny, lacking the rich garlic, lemon, and olive oil flavors I typically expect. The salads arrived without dressing, which left them dry and difficult to enjoy. Overall, the food felt very under-seasoned and lacked the bright, fresh flavors that make Greek cuisine so good. The biggest disappointment was the baklava. The phyllo dough appeared underbaked, remaining pale and almost translucent rather than the golden, flaky texture you'd normally expect. It was soft and gummy instead of crisp and layered. I had to pop it in my oven for a couple minutes to make it edible. Maybe this was an off night, but for the price point, the quality simply didn't match expectations. Sadly, this is not a meal I'd order again.

We found this Moroccan restaurant a couple of years ago and have always stopped by whenever we're in the area. We decided to make it our first dinner this time around. I can't say much about the vibe or service since we ordered takeout, but the owner (or the guy at the register) was very nice and friendly. What we ordered: Tagine Kefta -- Meatballs, eggs, and bread. A little oily and juicy, but with the bread provided, it was the best combination. A+ Tagine Lamb -- Lamb shank with rice. Very delicious and flavorful. A+ Mixed Gyro & Chicken Platter -- A very generous portion! It took us two days to finish it, and it was absolutely delicious. A+ Dessert - Merguez -- A very big slice of cake, not too sweet, with just the right amount of sweetness. With tea, it's the perfect combination! The only downside was that it had been frozen beforehand, so because of that, I'll give it an A instead of an A+. Overall: Definitely an A+! A great Moroccan spot that we'll happily come back to and recommend to others.

Food wasn't to my liking but my friends liked it so I'm not too sure if I think it's good or not Chose a place at random to eat and decided morroccan food since I've never tried it before. When we got there, the store ambiance felt like an old Italian pizza place where you stop in to order for a quick bite and leave. It felt like a quick food environment but it still took a while for food to come out even with no one else there. Also the floors felt a little bit sticky not really in an unclean way but moreso in a way where the cleaning solution makes stuff feel sticky. The merguez tagine and the lamb were dishes we ordered. I have pretty similar things to say about both. The sausage and the lamb both felt a little tough/overcooked. The eggs are overhard. Both just end up tasting like meat with marinara sauce, like a classic normal meatball sub. The Lamb shank texture is nice and soft even though it felt a bit overcooked at the same time. Unfortunately I didn't taste much flavor out of the lamb. The flavor is a bit plain. Chicken almond briwat is on the sweet side which I didn't expect but I'd assume it's normal for this dish. It was pretty good. The pastry part was nice and crispy The mint tea is very sweet. I'm normally not the biggest fan of teas this sweet but it worked pretty well. While I wasn't the biggest fan, of the 3 restaurants I tried that day, I'd rate it the lowest while one of my friends rated it the best of the 3. Maybe it's just not my type of food but in comparison to many other places I've tried, it is on the lower end in terms of everything.

I love tabouli and order it at every Mediterranean restaurant I go to, and this was the worst I ever had. The ingredients might have been off (either the ratio, or maybe something even went bad. It looked normal but tasted terrible). When we asked for cups of water (after spending upwards of $100) we were told they "don't do that" - because obviously they expect you to purchase bottled water. I find this to be unacceptable. Last but not least: we witnessed a cockroach crawling across the floor. One of the little German ones. Although not as scary as their larger, American counterparts, they still carry lots of germs that can make you sick, and when you see one you can assume there are many more close by. Would I be back? Hard pass. I'm sure I can find great hummus and chicken shawarma elsewhere.
