I was dreading the idea of having a colonoscopy, but Dr. Ibrahim made what I thought was going to be a very painful and disturbing situation to something that I would not mind looking forward to. This was, without question, the worst medical experience of my life. After my colonoscopy, I was in…read moreunbearable abdominal pain, couldn't sit, eat, or sleep, and was severely constipated--symptoms I had never had before. Two days later, desperate for help, I went to see Dr. Dalia Ibrahim. Instead of showing any concern or providing answers, she dismissed my symptoms entirely and sent me out of her office with zero support or follow-up. I left feeling abandoned and uncared for at a time when I was terrified something was seriously wrong. What followed was a month of severe pain, ER visits, and multiple GI consultations. No one could explain what happened, and I was left to suffer on my own until the symptoms slowly faded. This experience was traumatic enough that I will never undergo another colonoscopy again. Based on how I was treated, I absolutely cannot recommend Dr. Ibrahim. In my opinion, she was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed a shocking lack of compassion when I needed medical care the most.

Not knowing where to turn or whom to trust, thankfully a dear friend referred me to Dr. Patel. During my first appointment, Dr. Patel listened carefully to my concerns and understood that I was not only in severe pain but also nervous about being in a doctor's office. She quickly put me at rest with her compassionate and positive bedside manner. After her very thorough examination, she scheduled multiple tests. These tests identified serious but treatable GI issues, a hormonal imbalance, and a large ulcer that I was completely unaware of. Within a short time after starting treatment I was a newer better version of myself. Now, months later, I continue to improve and truly appreciate Dr. Patel for her incredible ability and willingness to address my medical issues.

Turned into a 5 month long ordeal involving gallbladder surgery and every known complication possible. (BTW, the complications were NOT from her care). We were VERY fortunate to meet Dr. Ngo after my husband was admitted to the hospital; she did rounds and became the ONLY gastroenterologist he would see. My husband is very particular, to put it nicely. She was really amazing. Very knowledgeable, straight forward and provided the best care. She referred him out for some procedures, and the colleagues we saw were equally great. I can't say enough about the care she gave throughout this ordeal. My husband trusted her and we became so confident in what she advised and the treatment options she recommended. Every time he had to go back to the ER for some other complication (at one point, this was every week for 5 wks straight); she would hear that he was there, she'd show up and check in on him. It seems very difficult these days to find a doctor who can keep up with the crazy hours and demands of their profession, while having a good bedside manner while addressing patient/spouse concerns. Dr. Ngo does an amazing job of this! Most of our time was in the hospital, but the few times we saw them, the office staff were equally wonderful, especially working with insurance and arranging home care visits. Thanks so much!

Dr. Shah and his staff were amazing. Tarasa, my admitting…read morenurse, was SO warm and friendly. She put me at ease immediately and almost made me forget what I was there for. Ali, my procedure room nurse, was very honest and had a "no bones about it" approach that made me feel like I could trust what she said. She wasn't warm and fuzzy, and that was a comfort. I knew she was on top of it and took her job and my well being very seriously. Dr. Shah. Awesome. He greeted me in pre-op, was very friendly and apologized for running behind. He gave me the option of sedation or having the procedure awake, which I had no idea was a possibility. Since I chose to be awake, he gave me very honest expectations and talked me through the whole procedure. He was thorough and professional. I highly recommend him! By the time I was discharged, I felt blown away by the staff and felt so lucky to be in their hands. Also, everyone made me feel like a rockstar for handling the procedure so well and doing it awake. I felt like my chart had been plastered with gold stars. Although I'm glad I don't have to go back for 10 years, I certainly hope this team is still in tact when I do. They were amazing!

This comes a bit late due to the Covid lockdown…read more DO NOT GO!!!!!!! TRUST ME!!! If I can do zero - I would. The WORST I'VE EVER BEEN through! Even wheeling me into the tiny room for the procedure from their ridiculously SMALL rooms... I & my bed were banged not once, or twice, but THREE TIMES into a wall and/or door as nervous & sick as I was to deal with that, with no apologies. GET THIS= NO! anesthesia given except by a nurse (except drugs only) & you can scream throughout the entire procedure & "HE" will ask the nurse to drown out your cries by turning up "HIS" music so he can do HIS thing. Felt like date rape!! He couldn't care less & please don't be fooled by his picture & or smile. Ugh! No privacy either. Inches of curtains in between patients & you can hear EVERYONE'S private information & their diagnosis. Disgusting experience which left me with PTSD!

The end result was no final consultation aside from receiving paperwork, several bills and upon my decline in paying, received a collection. The front office was rude and wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. I had comments said to me by the doctor during the procedure, after I had asked for less sedation than most because I'm very sensitive to it, "oh come on its just like you going out on Saturday night and getting drunk." I don't get drunk when I go out and didn't appreciate her joke in place of her listening to my request. I know my body and sure enough I was so over-medicated that I don't remember any of the procedure minus a few parts, nor her instructions after AND I had to have a wheelchair take me to my driver who commented upon seeing me "she looks like she's dying." I was denied by the doctor to rest a bit in the other room as I couldn't standup, their solution was to get me out of there fast! I've had a c-section and an intense tonsilectomy only a few years prior to this procedure. I recover quickly and am highly sensitive to medications/sedatives as I rarely take aspirin or drink. I should have been listened to and respected. My billing was several thousand after the procedure and was confusing because I'd receive several different amounts from this office. I thought I'd paid in full, then larger bills would come a few weeks later. I did not feel that the service provided merited my business and upon saying so was taken to collections. I have paid what I think was all the bills but still have something on my report which has been hard to figure out what it was for or if I already paid it! The most unforgivable point was when the young doctor I had explained how uncomfortable I was she referenced in regards to my having anal sex. I wasn't there for that area or for anything to do with that, as I don't do it and she acted like she didn't believe me! Incredibly unprofessional, I wish I'd have stuck with my HMO. I was there for intense pain in my upper intestinal area and I felt that because I am very young I was treated disgustingly. It's been 4 years and this experience still infuriates me.

Dr. Codini strives for not only excellent medical care, but also goes above and beyond for her patients in dealing with any issues. She is very thorough and wants to make absolute sure her patients know, up front, what to expect and what the instructions are. Her office provides concise and easy to follow patient instructions which make the entire process very easy and clear. In summary, my experience with this doctor is that she is an excellent physician, and a truly caring and honest person. I highly recommend Dr. Rose Codini to anyone.
