If you like a nail spot because of their name and supposed popularity than this is the place for you. If not, save your coins. First, S/O to them for being in a prime location and being Black-owned. With that being said, I wasn't overly impressed. The uv dryers on the tables looked like they had seen better days. The chairs that the technicians wetr sitting in looked worn. The seats at the pedicure station were not all that comfortable. If you're not going to have a massage chair, at least have a high-back chair so that one can just relax, maybe slouch a little bit. When I walked in, the receptionist was not at the front. I actually thought I walked past the building because the sign had a different name on it. It is 2025, non-alcoholic beverages besides water should be available. I want a mimosa without alcohol. They have delicious non-alcoholic champagne for just that. My nails came out good but I'm not really sure what I was paying for. I think I was paying for the rent. read more

I got structured gel done at Laq Lab a week ago, and unfortunately, my nails are already chipping. I don't do any heavy work with my hands, so the chipping doesn't make sense, especially for a service that is supposed to provide durability. For the price I paid, I expected my nails to last at least 2-3 weeks, but that clearly wasn't the case. I'm disappointed with the quality and won't be getting this service again. read more

I just returned from their new location in Harlem, Vanity House NYC. I couldn't be happier with my gel manicure. The salon is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. I also appreciated the music they played. It was perfect for a morning manicure, and it was very relaxing. I look forward to coming back. Horrible. They didn't have any of the colors I chose (I had to choose maybe 15 of them and they didn't have anything other than neon colors. I had regular gel pedicure and supposed to have gel mani as well but it took her longer than 1.5 hours and I couldn't get my mani done. Never ever go there. On a Saturday it was super slow. The first time I went I had a really good experience. It was on Friday May 12th. The nail tech was very thorough. I had a gel manicure. It came out beautifully and last close to 3 weeks. It was good vibes in this beautiful salon. I returned again on a Wednesday. I decided to check out the gel mani and pedi special. The nail was attentive and gave me a really good pedicure. My first red flag is when she asked me the time. It took her over an hour to do the pedicure. It was ok because it was the end of my day: Then the gel manicure was ok it includes hand scrub and a massage with lotion. She did ask me how I like my nails filed . I told her not to go in too much on the sides because it creates broken hang nails. Within 3 days I have 2 broken hang nails very close to my nail bed; basically where the flesh starts ouch She thanked me for my patience at the end It took 3 hours so I guess stay away from the Wednesday special That when people are in training. The nail salon is very beautiful but the owner is a bit rude and lacks any customer service skills. Look at the reviews on google of them arguing back and forth with customers threatening to have their IP records traced for leaving a review. Thats insane. Customers are allowed to leave reviews even if they are negative and if they are that's your job as a business to improve on the customer experience. Take the constructive criticism to better yourselves. Definitely not professional to argue with customers and it definitely turns potential clientele away because of it. Hoping my next experience here in the future will be better if there is one. The nail techs here are talented but the vibes are just way off. read more

I was going here for months and never had an issue with my nails, but my last appointment there I had a bad experience. I left the salon very happy with my nails. 2 days later I noticed a crack on the side of one of my nails. I went back and they fixed it for me with no issue. 2 days later another nail cracked on the side which leads me to start feeling like my nail tech didn't do a great job with my fill in. I was leaving for vacation the next day and couldn't make it in to get it repaired so I used some nail glue to help stop the crack from becoming bigger. Throughout my 1 week trip a total of 6 nails were either cracked or broken. I get my nails done consistently every two weeks and I have never had so many of my nails break at the same time within a week of getting them done. I was so upset that I went to the salon the day after I returned from my trip to ask for them to redo my nails because this was not a good job especially after paying $130. They were unable to fit me in on that day for a new set so I asked if they can at least fit me in for a removal because I couldn't go the rest of the week with these broken nails. They couldn't even do that which was really irritating. I canceled my future appointment and never looked back. I will not be returning there. Which really is a shame because I do like the salon and the nail techs are friendly but the customer service that day completely turned me off. read more

The cuticle work was amazing- my cuticles look great however, my healthy nails were e-filed with in an inch of their lives. They were not bendy/ weak and would not easily break prior to the visit .After my visit yesterday I have three broken nails because of how thin they were filed. When scratching, they feel like sharp baby nails. The owner was great in trying to get me the color I wanted and my tech was nice- just over filed my nails which caused mine to break. read more

In my opinion, this place is overpriced. I always try to support black-owned but my nails weren't worth 185 (pre tip) to me. The woman who did my nails was so sweet so I had to leave something. In the end it was a little over $200. Maybe others can do this. I cannot. read more
