In fact, shhhhh....I left my eye makeup on for another day. Julie told me every product she used, gave me all sorts of insider tips: for makeup, skin, and more! She's seriously an expert on all things to make you feel and look your absolute best! No questions were off limits! She's totally rad & easy to talk to, and I loved gabbing about friends we have in common. Julie secures lashes using her own special technique, and while these types normally don't last too long in general, because of her skills, I was able to kept them on for almost a week, my entire anniversary trip! I texted her the night before with my hotel room number, and she never replied. I sent five texts and made multiple calls on August 30 and again on September 2, with no response. She finally replied on September 11 with an unprofessional excuse, claiming her assistant didn't save the date, even though she had personally confirmed our appointment on June 13 and accepted two Venmo payments. Anyone who claims to be "highly professional" should also provide accurate invoices and contracts, yet I had to ask her twice to fix errors in both before the event. I had to request my own refund, which shows poor professionalism and bad faith. Do not risk your event -- book someone reliable.

Even though they don't don't have an online booking platform, it was fairly easy to make an email inquiry, then book a time within the week over the phone. I booked with Amelia, and was really glad I did. She asked a lot of good questions about what I was looking for, then talked me through what she was going for. I get my hair cut every 6 months, so I was really just looking for someone to take out weight and give my hair some shape. Amelia gave me a wonderful short haircut with a lot of movement and texture. Her cut was meticulous and she took out an incredible amount of weight, yet maintained volume and body. After our discussions about my typical haircare routine, she gave me a cut that looks good without any styling. I really appreciated that, because sometimes the cut looks amazing after it's all blown out, but it's not a look that I can ever recreate at home. A few days after my appointment, someone asked me how I styled my hair, and I told them I didn't style it at all. They couldn't believe it because it visually had so much volume! The pricing is higher than other places that I have been in Philly (I paid $100 + tip), but in my opinion, it was totally worth it for one of the best haircuts I've received.
