Mmm quesotacos. Crispy, cheesy goodness. I got one birria quesotaco and one asada quesotaco. I was a bit disappointed with the birria one because I thought the meat would be soaked with delicious consome, but it's straight carnitas-style beef. I much preferred the carne asada quesotaco. Total flavor bomb. Speaking of consome, you must eat the quesotacos with it!! For those who aren't in the know, it's a very flavorful broth (if done right of course.....this place does get it right). A cup of it is complimentary if you buy 4+ tacos. Otherwise, it's $2. Most people dip their quesotacos straight into the consome, but what I like to do is take a bite of the quesotaco and chase it with a sip of consome. Super delicousness (and less messy). They have the Best Birria Tacos and Consume. They have a Special Friday Saturday and Sundays, 8 tacos and a drink for $20 but unfortunately we were there on a Thursday!!! They used to be on Stockton Blvd at Pic and Pak and we had been looking for them for Months!! My husband happened to look through Yelp and found them! They're now on Florin Road across the street from Florin Center. They're closed Monday and Tuesdays. Opened from 11-6:30 or sooner if they run out. We were looking at the street food app and found The12Shack. It was so good. The service was very fast. They will customize orders. The smoothies were very good and when they say large they mean large. I got the California burrito and my husband got the Asada fires. The guacamole on the fries was a little spice. Amazing customer service. My sister and I have been going here for catering since we found them because tacos are easy to serve and they're delicious! If you haven't had birria tacos well heads up that they are slightly oily because they consists of the braised meat inside a corn tortilla that's been pan-fried in the fat that sits at the top of the birria. The tacos are amazing by its self,but go ahead and ask about a bowl of consume on the side for you to dip your tacos into. Best birria tacos ever!They're flavorful and filling. First time here! I ordered 2 small carne asada tacos and it was great! along with the customer service! It was very quick and only took 5 - 7 mins for 4 orders. I would say the tacos were more on the juicy side than the dry side. Although, the only reason why it was juicy was due to the splash of lime. Been to the truck a few times, their birria tacos are flavorful, tender and overall good. Here and there you have a crunchy cheese skirt which is nice to balance out after you've drenched or dipped in the consome. the consome is good but could be a bit spicier yet that's personal preference "just add some of their hot sauces and your set". First time hearing about a birria sandwhich, I was skeptical at first hoping the bread didn't cover the flavor. Cooked Crisp bread, cheese skirts, birria spices and flavor while dunking it in the consome "YES" they didn't disappoint, very good! Good size, little messy with the dipping cause I'm a child and guess I was eating it too fast but yea it's good. i never tried a mangonada until coming here, it was the best thing I've ever tasted on a hot day. I don't think it could be made any better and was so worth it. Unfortunately for me the next time I came the machine was not starting but still enjoyed their food. I was surprised to come here and there wasn't any customers. This place is underrated! I had the birria tacos and they looked so good and instagram worthy. They also tasted great but the consome lacked flavor. If you eat them together though, you won't notice it. I loved how cheesy the birrias were. The crispy cheese on the outside was so good.
