Do you want to know about a very disturbing event with a YardStop employee? Then read on. First some background. In live in Stonecreek. When the builder puts in a paved driveway, knowing the new home buyer wants a perfect driveway, the builder throws a lot of pavers in the dumpster because they are imperfects and unsuitable for a driveway. In the October, November & December of 2021 myself and my neighbor retrieved a lot of these imperfects from the dumpsters that had minor blemishes and stored in our garages. In mid-January 2021, I took these imperfects and created a very nice curbing around my planter beds in the front of my home because I had visitors coming from Michigan the 3rd week of January and wanted home to like nice. These imperfects were perfect for that, and I was proud I could repurpose these pavers instead of them going to the landfill. The curbing turned out so nice, and it was an environmentally green thing to do, that my neighbors did their homes also using these imperfects. Now the horrible incident that left me devastated and caused me anxiety for days that it led me to feeling I had to warn others of YardStop employee behaviors. Last Friday, February 11, I was in front of my home moving some pavers from my garage to my neighbor's house, for I used all that I needed, and he needed a few more to finish his front planter beds. That's when a man in a YardStop pickup truck stopped in front of my house. The first thing he asked me was "where did I get those pavers from?". I replied, "they came from the dumpsters because the builder threw them away". He referred to me as a lair and said no they weren't, they were stolen from his job site up the street. I said, "no they weren't, they came from the dumpsters, and don't you know how many pavers the builder throws away". (now remember, these pavers were in my garage since the fall of 2021 and his job up the street was just being done). He looked into my garage and saw I had a gray Dodge truck, so his response was "I was lying, and he had proof from a resident that someone in a gray Dodge truck stole them, and when the resident approached the person, the person said he had permission to take them. Since I have a gray Dodge truck I had to be the thief". Do you think this man in the YardStop pickup truck wanted to have me go down to the said resident and ask them if this was the truck or if I was the person, they confronted ... nope! All he kept doing was accusing me of stealing his pavers and if any more pavers were taken he was going to call the police and have me arrested. And here's another piece of information ... there are other gray Dodge trucks running around Stonecreek. So, to recap. I was accused of being a thief, harassed and threatened by a YardStop employee for something I had absolutely nothing to do with. This was very, very upsetting to me. I have shopped multiple times at YardStop purchasing many items for our new home in Stonecreek. I told my wife we will never ever shop again at a company that employees people like this. And I hope no one else does either. If you have had any encounters like this, I hope you will also voice your concerns. read more
