I have purchased many items from Kenny's Place Nursery here in Ocala. A few weeks ago I purchased these 4 bottlebrush bushes to plant along our back fence row. The man who I believe was the owner helped me put them in my trunk. He said they were dry to make sure I watered them when I got home. I planted and watered daily twice a day. Despite this, 3 of them got worse and have died. We corresponded back and forth on messenger & he just said "water, water water." Which I had been! I sent him more photos and mentioned i thought they were just too far gone when i got them. He agreed to let me come get some more within 7 days of receipt. I drove 30 minutes to get there & he didn't have any bottlebrush! I told him that's specifically what I wanted in our messages. I asked if I could get a refund for 3 of them since I drove out of my way to get there. He sarcastically pointed at his sign that said no refunds and said I saw it when I checked out. I told him we'd spent a lot of money there and he told me they were dry when I bought them & he should make it right. He then stated that he never told me that and if I was going to make up a lie I should come up with a better one than that!! Then, said I was a liar! He said I shouldn't be talking about this in front of another customer. He never once denied telling me the plants were dry through our correspondence through messenger. I told him I'd never buy another thing from him and he proceeded to tell me if I didn't leave within 5 minutes he would have me trespassed! I said a few choice words and no worries about me EVER setting foot at Kenny's Place Nursery! read more

We got many of our plants and shrubs from Kenny's. The staff are helpful and know their plants! The plants are very reasonably priced. We go back every spring and buy more. We have recommended them to our friends and neighbors. Several have landscaped their whole yards with plants from Kenny's. Go, walk around the large nursery grounds and take home some plants! read more

Nice. Prices are a lot more reasonable than big box stores and staff is very friendly and helpful. True they don't have fruit trees and the like but the plants and shrub bushes are all priced reasonably. read more

I went to Kenny's place looking for two specific plants. They didn't have one, and only had one peperomia that was in the "not for sale" section. The gentleman there was kind enough to give me a cutting from it. While I was there, I couldn't help but notice how healthy their plants were. I ended up buying two lantana, which were far larger and healthier than plants costing twice as much at the big box stores. Kenny's place is going to be my first stop when I'm shopping for plants again. read more

Great place to shop for all kinds of plants. Better prices and healthier plants than you can get at the hardware stores or Walmart. It also provides jobs to mentally handicapped adults who are here working and will help you pick stuff out and putting things in your car. I have shopped here for the last 16 years and always find what I need. read more
