The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions, which made the experience even more engaging. She also came up with some really fun games that helped everyone interact and made the tour feel very lively and memorable. I've lived in Northern Virginia for almost 30 years and have always been fascinated by Koreatown, but this tour gave me a whole new appreciation for it. The food was fantastic, and the overall experience was fun. You can really tell this is a great, well-run business--the owners clearly care about creating a high-quality and enjoyable experience for everyone. My girl friends and I signed up for this food tour to eat at food restaurants and have fun amongst each otherm the tour guide treated us like children, and acted like she was a historical teacher the whole time. We were not overly disruptive and just wanted to each other's company while having good food. We signed up for a "FOOD" tour but instead Jen instead that it was also a historical tour and made us very uncomfortable by over-lectueinf and quizzing us about historical facts about Leesburg, slavery and Civil War. At one point, between the third and fourth food tour stop, she made us take a huge detour around the town so she could over explain about histories behind slavery trading in Leesburg. At once point we got really bored and tired of being treated like children (we are all professional women over 30+ years old), and started laughing behind a bit in the street to chat. She had a full to turn to one of my friends and say 'plesee tell your friends to stop talking and pay attention to what I'm saying about these important events.' She over-shared that she leads school tours in DC during g other parts of the year and maybe she confused us with the school-aged children. But we did not enjoy our experience with her. I contemplated not sharing this awhile because I really think hard about leaving a negative review, but even two months later, her condescending attitude and the way we were treated as a group really stings us. I hope this type of tour guide can be curtailed and mapped for a "food" tour experience they advertised and we paid for instead of historical lectures. The tour guide needs to be re-educater.

Our guides kept us entertained as they educated us about the history of the area while mixing in enough food stops to keep everyone happy. It was the perfect balance of walking around the neighborhood and eating good food while sitting and resting. They pay full price for the food at each stop and even give a 20% tip. Each stop gives a full portion so come hungry and ready to learn. 2) Guide: We had Jim and he was the perfect balance of personable, interesting, knowledgeable, and passionate. He clearly knows the city well and is a foodie himself. He did an excellent job of teaching this local some new facts and giving tourists a more holistic view of Washington, D.C. 3) Mission: The company is local and gives back to a non-profit called Bread for the City with every tour ticket purchased. Historic stops included: St. Anne's Parish, Maryland State House, Shiplap House, Maryland State Capitol Building, and some other random street corners where the tour guide pointed out some notable buildings/historic sites. We stood outside while Sam discussed some interesting history and culture of the town and each attraction. The tour guide discussed and recommended other establishments around the area (she pointed them out along the route) that were not on the tour, including places to eat, drink, and buy souvenirs. I really appreciated that aspect of the tour. See the pictures for the food stops and menu. The food was really great, with the exception of the tacos. The cream of crab soup at the Federal House was FANTASTIC. This was a pretty incredible way to experience and learn about Annapolis, and just a great afternoon outing. I highly recommend it.

We are all fairly local folks but we learned so much and ate amazing food. I appreciate the level of service Zachary provided including helping to fit this in my budget. All communication was prompt and easy to understand. The payment process was simple. Instructions for where to meet and questions about food allergies or other issues were appreciated. Even in the rain, this was just so much fun. We started at the Maryland Center for History and Culture. As a museum junkie, I loved that we started with a quick tour through Baltimore history! And we got to pop into the Jim Henson exhibit. They have the Labyrinth Dress!! After that we started walking. Did you know the Ouija board was created in Baltimore?? I did not. We were able to see sites on narrow historic streets; UA has 6-seat electric golf cart type vehicles. Other tour busses and trolleys simply can't maneuver those parts of the city! We had a small group of four and visited Attman's, Isabella's brick oven, La Tavola, and Osteria Da Amedeo. Food tours are great way of seeing what local life is like and skipping to the front of the line to taste a variety of dishes. We saw historic sites like the Lloyd street synagogue, Corned beef row, the Carroll Mansion, Reginald F. Lewis museum, and birthplace of the Star spangled banner flag. It was about a 3.5 hour walking tour and there were intermittent breaks to eat in restaurants. Before this tour I had no idea there was a 'Little Italy' or a 'Corned beef row' and how much history these places had from the restaurants started by immigrants in the 1800s. It also makes a difference having an enthusiastic group and getting to know everyone. This tour is highly recommended.

Our time in Galway was spent on tour with Caddie Tours. The specific tour was Sean Fleming - Best of the West (Galway) Tour. My wife and I know Sean from the Auld Shebeen Irish Pub in Old Town Fairfax and make sure we have reservations any time Sean shows up. In a nutshell, Caddie Tours, under Niall Leogue's watchful eye, was excellent and thoroughly entertaining. Sean alone would have been enough, but Niall was the cherry on top. Engaging, witty, and charismatic, Sean and Niall provided everyone on tour memorable experiences. The tour included visits to "The Quiet Man" village (where I not only walked in John Wayne's steps, I wore the clothing and acted out a few of the scenes (thanks, Niall)), Aran Islands (wonderful scenery and small village shops), and a Story Telling evening in the back of a pub in Galway called The Office (Brian Nolan, The Story Teller, was incredible!) to name a few. Intertwined with the visits was singing by Sean Fleming who literally had his acoustic guitar with him EVERYWHERE we went. He sang on the bus, in a church, in a few pubs, and the hotel bar! All in all, I highly recommend using Caddie Tours as part of your visit to Ireland. Splitting our time between doing our own thing and using a touring group was excellent as we were able to enjoy having the freedom to do whatever we wanted while also enjoying a planned, guided event.
