Our service was pretty bad so I wasn't even able to voice my concern over the overdone fried pork tenderloin. I also wanted to order another beer but since she didn't come around, I just drank my wife's water. I'm giving it 4 stars because this was just a bad experience that isn't normal of this place. With that being said, I still don't recommend their giant pork tenderloin... Stock with their amazing burgers or wings!

In addition there is a pond on site perfect for sipping wine and watching the sunset. The road it is on has minimal traffic and the seating is set back to allow for a peaceful fun time with friends or a loved one and trying out there multitude of delicious wines. Though they do have some dry wines, I believe their semi-sweet and sweet wines are the the highlights for this winery. Their semi-sweet wines are perfect for summer cookouts and and a quick after-work wine-down with friends and co-workers. Definitely worth a detour on your trip in Northern Indiana

We got the run of the covered outdoor setting and super fast bar service. The outside is still very comfortable. Lots of seating with some in the shade. We had two specialty drinks. Before trying their wines, I was a snob about fruit wines. You know the code: The drier the better. But they were able to bring me down off of my high-horse and learn that fruit wines deserve an equal place in the world of wine. Yes, they have an excellent syrah, cabernet, and corot noir, along with dechaunac and chambourcin. I'm not sure about other wineries but Satek's pinot noir contains espresso. It is a subtle flavor but I bet it will give you an extra charge that you might not have been expecting. Larry's Luscious Dry Red is a favorite, along with their 101 Lakes. But if we're gonna get right down to it, I am a complete fan of their blackberry wine and their ice wines. Right there is dessert magic. Satek Winery is worthy of not only your glance but your full attention.

We arrived at 10am Sunday morning, so we had breakfast - although they appear to serve a wide variety of food here. Some random observations: * Portion sizes on all breakfast items was awesome. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone at the lake who just needs to get out of the house (or out of the lake) and have a satisfying meal for not a lot of money.

I forgot to take pictures cause I was chomping it down. Let's start off with the Apple Butter on the dinner rolls, delicious. The butter was creamy and very flavorful. The rolls were fluffy and yet still thick. Had the Grilled Ham with Mashed Potatoes and Veggie Beef Soup. The soup hit the spot to start my meal off. When that thick cut of ham was placed in front of me, my mouth was watering already. The first bite was juicy and crispy. Grilled just right. Add in a creamy with chunks mashed potatoes. The chicken and noodles were fine, but we thought the turkey had more flavor. We've debated both times if we should get the buffet, but on neither visit did it have roast beef nor pie. Pie is the main reason for us dining here and our appetites just don't warrant more than one plate of food (especially all those heavy starches) AND pie, so it isn't worth the extra cost for us. Although again, if the buffet included pie, we'd get it. Also...we were told a 10-15 minute wait but waited more than 30. The hostess claimed they called us on the speaker but we were no more than 20 feet from the hostess stand the ENTIRE time. None of the three of us heard our name. They took my phone number when we arrived but I got no call nor text. People entered and were seated before us. So I went up and asked. She claimed to have called us and rolled her eyes at me.
