They sell milled flour and primary ingredients for making your own stuff. I found it interesting how many different types of flour, spices, and primary ingredients like borax used for cleaning laundry and disinfecting were available for purchase by the pound. I was able to buy homemade black licorice for $3. Homemade canned strawberry rhubarb butter to spread on toast for $4-5. They also have a huge discount section and the kids loved stretching their $5 budget and got a bunch of Halloween and Christmas specific candy cheaply for no other reason than it being the wrong holiday. My husband bought some Amish sourdough bread, but was disappointed with the taste. Upon looking at the label I noted there were a lot of ingredients. Just something to note. Not all Amish foods are created equal and not all items are organic or without preservatives. Read your labels, make educated choices and admire a store of thrifty, honest, and hardworking folks.

I loved the aisles with products deeply discounted because they were nearing the expiration date. But you can definitely use most items well past those dates. The employees were very efficient. Average, Medium and Extra Large. I'll be back for a few of those. The prices were fair compared to Martins where I usually get them. Their prices are a little on the high end (I can't ever seem to leave spending less than $50) which I would expect from the smaller size company, but that does not deter me. This particular location has their products organized somewhat strange from what I am used to. Take for example, trash bags. Most other stores would place these in the paper good section which would be by the toilet paper / paper towels. In this store they are located in the "Picnic Goods" section which is over by frozen foods section. Again, this is not enough to deter me, but it does cause my trips to this store to take a little longer as I have to walk up and down looking at what is in each aisle. If I had to pick one thing about this location that needs to improve it is their checkouts. More often than not, I find that the lines are long and it takes me 10+ minutes to checkout. My favorite thing about this (and all Martin's) is their produce / meat. Nobody in the area can touch them on their quality. Quite often, my wife and I will buy our can goods from one store and the rest from Martin's because it is worth the extra trip.

Not sure what his duties are as a customer service greeter. It's a nice store but has a lot of weak links. I am more concerned as a customer to get in a store and checkout my items than be slowed down at the front door. Other than that the store is awesome.
