It's not rodent infested no bugs the gym has been upgraded yes there are some minor things that go on, but that would go on in any dwelling. You're never gonna make everybody happy no matter how hard you try. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be some improvements in the building, but it's nothing detrimental. You have common sense, thinking people that have open door policies. It's a nice place to live. I just think if the tenants would all have a meeting and we as tenants only discussed this amongst ourselves we the residents could make it better on our own. We could easily police the building ourselves and do our part to make it a better place to live as well ,It's a building that you can commute to New York City very easily. It's a quiet area to live. And again the current management is trying their hardest to make everybody happy, and I think the tenants could be a little bit understanding also and trust me I'm not pro management at all, I'm just common sense. It's a nice place to be so anybody considering this building as a potential place to live I would recommend it.

I must say this, me and my boyfriend had a partial upgrade to our apartment. But it was not our cup of tea. We happen to be on the second floor. They have carpets that felt like sandpaper, hard wood floors for the kitchen, and carpet for the bedroom. I had no room for a kitchen table.. i had a nook.. usable for a chair. The kitchen was like a railroad.. everything close together. The one bedroom apartment is great for a person. Neighbors. Whole new ball park. We had a problem with a current resident downstairs from us that love to blast music at 11 pm- 1 am at night. A lot of people has no consideration. Another neighbor next to us had a cat.. and we could smell the urine from the next door. You basically have no privacy. The walls are thin, You can hear anything... We had a bug problem. I am a clean person!! I am a smoker let me add. And i didn't smoke in my apartment. So for the year i was out there i seen all different kinds of bugs we had issues with. Cockroaches, Ants, and termites. OMG i wanted to cry! Yes we sprayed over and over. Nope the bugs kept on coming back. If you can deal with it, go for it! I will not recommend anyone to rent.

I've lived here since September now, and I can actually say that I love it. It's tough to find an…read moreapartment and management company that really makes you happy, but Arla did it for me. The apartments are a good size, reasonably priced, and close to a bunch of stores and dining. I rent a renovated one bedroom. The rooms are all a nice size, although the kitchen is a bit small (see picture), but it works for me. Upon moving in, everything was spotless and ready to go. I can't hear my neighbors at all, which is also nice and somewhat unexpected. The management company has always been attentive. I had one minor problem which I reported through the resident portal online, and they had made the repair within a day. Also, after a massive recent snowstorm, they immediately began cleanup work, using a plow, front end loader, and snowblowers to make sure the lot and sidewalks were clear and everyone's cars were accessible. As for complaints, I only have a few. One is the laundry room hours - they close at 9PM, and I get home from work quite late so I often don't have time to do a load of laundry during the week if I need to. I think they should just stay open 24/7 since they are locked and residents have to use a key to access it anyway. There also aren't many machines. The laundry room by my apartment only has four washers and four dryers, so they're often all full. My only other complaint is the one car per apartment parking limit, but I can understand that this is just due to limited space. You get one assigned spot near your apartment, and there are a few visitor spots scattered about. This is especially tough since Nutley doesn't allow overnight street parking, so if you have two or more people with cars in your household you may be out of luck. Like I said, besides those little complaints I've really loved living here and I can see myself continuing to live here. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking to move into the area and there's an apartment up for rent.

I have had... - Long term leaks in my bathroom, kitchen and bedroom that the landlord simple would not properly repair until it began to affect other tenants. Literally downpours in my apartment. - A shower with 70-80 percent of the tiles fallen off and a superintendent who insisted on putting plastic on the bathroom walls until I would pay him to repair the shower. * And that is the type of bad repair work that was done. * That super even charged me for basic repairs that were part of his job which added up to a lot of money over the years. - When the super stole money from my apartment the building management finally fired him and said that they would reimburse me for my loses due to the super's long term stealing and that I should write a letter for them noting what had been stolen. When I gave the building manager the letter she requested she began to argue with me. From that point on, the building manager, building owner and the building's lawyer ignored my follow up requesting a response from them on the theft issue. The list of issues can go on and on. All the management wants is your rent money and they do not take responsibility for the actions of their employees. No integrity will be found at Ridge View Apartments.

Cars were flooded in the past and were destroyed - as such, tenants moved out. If you have an issue with a noisy, harassing neighbor, you need to take them to the Nutley Court yourself as management will NOT intervene and abide by the Lease you sign. They also play funny with $ they owe you when you vacate. Steer clear and look elsewhere! I hope this doesn't get taken down as they pay companies to remove bad reviews.

Worst management and place ever! When we initially moved in…read more2017, it was good. However, the last 3 years were very bad. We resided there from 2017 to 2023. First, be careful if you still live there, as they stole $565 from our security deposit. Management sent an email stating that they would charge a cleaning fee, but then ultimately they used a portion of our security deposit to replace the washing machine?!! Which we left in a good condition!! We will be contacting a lawyer regarding that. If you are thinking about renting there, let me tell you about the issues we faced there in the last 2 years. Our packages were getting stolen, and the management did not do much until, we, "the residents", started reporting the incidents to the police, and the person who was stealing the packages still lives in the building until this moment! More than once , there was an unleashed pitbull running around the cars and in the kids area! Of course, I called the management and they did nothing as usual. Also, they charged us an entire month of rent for an empty apartment despite that we lived there for 6 years, and we never were late a day to pay our rent on time, even during COVID. A 45 days notice was not enough for them I guess! During our last year there, I didn't feel safe, and it was not worth the $2500 we were paying. We are glad to be out of this complex, and I will never recommend it to anyone.
