We picked up 6 bottles ones based on their recommendations, and every single recommendation was a great choice. Right next door to Patterson (where my friends are members) was Warr-King. Having never been there before we didn't know what to expect. We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon and were greeted by the larger-than-life owner with the same personality to boot, Brett (aka Big Chill) and manager, Jim. Big Chill noted one of us had a "Guam" shirt and knew people from Guam. And that was how my love affair with Warr-King started... I signed up to be a member that day and walked away with some bottles. They're not only known for being a boutique winery, but they also have events in the back room. There's live music the First Fridays of the month - performed generally by Big Chill on the sax and his buddy, Ian Ayers a fantastic vocalist and guitarist. Did I mention Big Chill performs sax for Josh Heinrichs when he's in town? It's super cool to have that connection and we just saw them perform last month in Everett.
