Wow! Everything we tasted was wonderful. The people are awesome. Wine makers telling about the wine. Friendly staff teaching about the wines.

We attended a celebration of the debut release of Pearl & Stone's wines. They served lots of Local food, had great music and displayed nice art, Their handcrafted 2013 Wandering Red, and 2014 Unemployment Beach Rose ,debut and was available for tasting and purchase.. There were activities for Children and a very nice venue (The back yard of one of the partner winemakers home). Music was very entertaining and perfect for this event. So much variety in foods, several selections of chesses, breads, crackers, breadsticks, pimentos, marinated olives, BBQ sausages, salami, fruit. Boy do they know how to throw a party! Visitors were very friendly and the hosts and their family and friends were so nice. This made for a very enjoyable afternoon and lots of fun. The wine was very good, delicious, smooth, yet crisp and refreshing. The "pours" were very generous too. We liked the wine so much, we bought 4 bottles.

From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!

We are gave each other the "what have we gotten ourselves into" look. We were greeted immediately upon entering and proceeded with a tasting. Tasting fee is waived with a bottle purchase. I tried the Mormor Riesling, VNA Viogner... and some reds to round out the tasting- Tried the Confluence Red Blend, Watershed Merlot, Cab Barrel Select and Syrah (shared some with the hubbie). The Riesling was my favorite of the whites and which we purchased some along with some dessert wine- LaRue since they don't have wine tastings or glasses of the dessert wine. My husband liked the Cab Barrel select so we also purchased that one. The prices for the bottles were reasonable especially considering it's a small winery and the costs sometimes get high for smaller inventory. The husband and wife were hospitable and we were welcome to sit outside by the roaring fire but chose to relax inside with our friends. A few extra spots inside to sit would be nice but it's a cozy small area. There is a public washroom inside. Overall it was a nice visit and we would return. We enjoyed the time with our friends.
