    Smoked Pork Shoulder Bowl
    Anthony T.

My wife and I had a delicious dinner with a stunning sunset view, and live, laid back, music. We shared the loaded sweet plantains, smoked pork shoulder bowl, and the beach bowl. I really enjoyed how veggie forward the meal was. It was a nice blend of flavorful and nutritious. The service is quick as long as you put up the little red flag at your table to let the severs know you need something. Come here for great views, good food, and a chill vibe.

Super pretty place to view the sunset. Note there is a $5 parking fee on top of your meal just to park and see the view. Food itself is okay and music gives nice vibes. Service is slightly slow because they rely on the mailbox type of system where they don't always see us needing attention.

Yet another amazing experience and this time for Bingo Sunday! Highly recommend but come ready with cash. It's a fun relaxed time with the most amazing view you will ever find!

This is a must on every trip to the island. The views are spectacular. Great live music and a festive atmosphere every night. One of the most unique places you will ever spend an evening. Service is fast, even when it gets crowded. The food selection was good. The pictures you take will pop up in your Facebook memories forever!

What an incredible place. Stunning views, incredible history; tasty beverages, good Caribbean food. And today, And loving the live music during Jam Fest! Especially, the Organically Good Trio featuring the keyboardist from Slightly Stoopid on vocals and keyboard!

Pretty crowded and service suffered because of that, but we went for the sunset like everyone else. Emptied out quite a bit right after that. Food was good and the view did not disappoint.

The views here are stunning and they know it. Parking is $5 and it's always busy but we have never had a hard time parking. This place can get super busy for sunset. Like insanely busy. But if you happen to come while it's quet, enjoy! Bartenders are great. Drinks are inconsistent but good for the most part. Live music is awesome. We really enjoy stopping here for a cocktail after a beach day!

    More of that incredible view!

First and foremost, you're coming here for the view. No one has a better sunset view on this island. Yes you have to pay the landlord $5 to park your car there. It's stupid, but the Windmill can't help that because they don't own the land. The food is good. We had some burgers and some Mahi sandwiches. The chips are very good. They don't have blenders so no frozen drinks. This is honestly my only criticism. Everything else was great, especially the ice cream!

I visited Windmill Café in St. John honestly for the view, and it did not disappoint. For the past three years, I've had their live webcam on loop in my office, so I knew I had to see it in person--and it was absolutely worth it. You can tell the bar has been here for a while, but the staff does an excellent job maintaining it and keeping everything clean and organized. Although I didn't have any food, the bartender made a great rum punch and was very friendly. If you're in St. John, this view is a must-see, and it's conveniently just 10 minutes from downtown.

When you are staying on or near St John VI, this is a must do. It is a quick ferry ride from St Thomas VI, then about a $9 cab ride pp. The ride up the hill is a bunch of switch backs so be prepared (like a roller coaster) but is so worth it. The decks and bar sits high up on a cliff and includes the ruins of a windmill and stone structures. The view alone is amazing, add the cold beers, full liquor and food being served by Charlotte and Emily makes it all a winning combination. Enjoy!

Judging by the number of Jeep Wranglers in the parking lot, this place obviously caters to the tourists. And it is generally what you'd expect from a tourist trap - overpriced, so-so food, small drinks, etc. But we had a great time! The view is spectacular. The atmosphere is friendly and lively. I like their system of putting up the flag on your table when you want something. The food, while nothing to write home about, wasn't bad. We got the buffalo chicken dip app, which for $18 was small, but it was tasty. As was the Windmill burger. The only disappointment was the chicken burrito bowl. It just didn't have much flavor. Next time I'm in St. John, I'll return.

You have to come here for a drink at sunset. It has the best views! It does get busy so either get there early or just stand and get a drink while watching the sunset. We did do dinner one night and the food is just okay. The service was great and the views make it worth a stop!

His specialty of smoked chicken has just the right amount of spice for me. My wife's lobster roll was freshly made from scratch and perfectly seasoned. Don't go if you are in a hurry. Everything is made fresh to order and may take a little time. But it will be brought to your table after a generous serving of chili that can compete with any on the main land. While you wait, enjoy a Painkiller. This is another specialty that can now be bought by the gallon and brought home. The location is right off of the main road, but you wouldn't necessarily notice except when a truck drives by. His friendly dogs will keep you company and are always protecting you from local wildlife. Coco Jim's is a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting St. John. Candidly, nothing on the dinner menu blew our minds. The tuna sandwich with wasabi and arugula was fantastic, and the tuna was prepared perfectly! We also got shrimp tacos that were better than the sandwich for what it's worth. Our server, who didn't give us her name, was sweet and attentive and even brought a cask of water without us asking. At the end of the day, High Tide delivered as advertised. Three last thoughts if you've read this far: Park at the MVD and walk; it's not that far and free. Get the Key Lime Pie; it was outstanding but pretty typical of the area. Lastly, stop at the merch store and grab a t-shirt, which are some of the best I've seen so far!
