Super pretty place to view the sunset. Note there is a $5 parking fee on top of your meal just to park and see the view. Food itself is okay and music gives nice vibes. Service is slightly slow because they rely on the mailbox type of system where they don't always see us needing attention.

Yet another amazing experience and this time for Bingo Sunday! Highly recommend but come ready with cash. It's a fun relaxed time with the most amazing view you will ever find!

This is a must on every trip to the island. The views are spectacular. Great live music and a festive atmosphere every night. One of the most unique places you will ever spend an evening. Service is fast, even when it gets crowded. The food selection was good. The pictures you take will pop up in your Facebook memories forever!

What an incredible place. Stunning views, incredible history; tasty beverages, good Caribbean food. And today, And loving the live music during Jam Fest! Especially, the Organically Good Trio featuring the keyboardist from Slightly Stoopid on vocals and keyboard!

The views here are stunning and they know it. Parking is $5 and it's always busy but we have never had a hard time parking. This place can get super busy for sunset. Like insanely busy. But if you happen to come while it's quet, enjoy! Bartenders are great. Drinks are inconsistent but good for the most part. Live music is awesome. We really enjoy stopping here for a cocktail after a beach day!

First and foremost, you're coming here for the view. No one has a better sunset view on this island. Yes you have to pay the landlord $5 to park your car there. It's stupid, but the Windmill can't help that because they don't own the land. The food is good. We had some burgers and some Mahi sandwiches. The chips are very good. They don't have blenders so no frozen drinks. This is honestly my only criticism. Everything else was great, especially the ice cream!

I visited Windmill Café in St. John honestly for the view, and it did not disappoint. For the past three years, I've had their live webcam on loop in my office, so I knew I had to see it in person--and it was absolutely worth it. You can tell the bar has been here for a while, but the staff does an excellent job maintaining it and keeping everything clean and organized. Although I didn't have any food, the bartender made a great rum punch and was very friendly. If you're in St. John, this view is a must-see, and it's conveniently just 10 minutes from downtown.

When you are staying on or near St John VI, this is a must do. It is a quick ferry ride from St Thomas VI, then about a $9 cab ride pp. The ride up the hill is a bunch of switch backs so be prepared (like a roller coaster) but is so worth it. The decks and bar sits high up on a cliff and includes the ruins of a windmill and stone structures. The view alone is amazing, add the cold beers, full liquor and food being served by Charlotte and Emily makes it all a winning combination. Enjoy!

Judging by the number of Jeep Wranglers in the parking lot, this place obviously caters to the tourists. And it is generally what you'd expect from a tourist trap - overpriced, so-so food, small drinks, etc. But we had a great time! The view is spectacular. The atmosphere is friendly and lively. I like their system of putting up the flag on your table when you want something. The food, while nothing to write home about, wasn't bad. We got the buffalo chicken dip app, which for $18 was small, but it was tasty. As was the Windmill burger. The only disappointment was the chicken burrito bowl. It just didn't have much flavor. Next time I'm in St. John, I'll return.

You have to come here for a drink at sunset. It has the best views! It does get busy so either get there early or just stand and get a drink while watching the sunset. We did do dinner one night and the food is just okay. The service was great and the views make it worth a stop!

Sorry. No pics on this review. We ate here on our third day on island. This place is next to Kenny C. St. John getaway and -- no he hasn't visited in over five years. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is standard bar food. The burger was excellent. The rice bowl we got with chicken was so-so. The Pain Killer in the take home rubber cup is fun. Expect to pay island prices. The bill for four was $220 including tip. The most impressive thing about this place is the sunset view. You MUST go for sunset. There is no better view on the island.

    Veggie bowl for 25 dollars

The location and the views were amazing, but unfortunately the quality of the food doesn't match. We ordered and didn't get our food for 50 minutes, which is fine because they were super busy and we were enjoying the view. We never got our chips and salsa and the amount of food that you get for the price is not worth it. I'm thinking if we were to come another day when it's not busy, the experience would be different. However, I paid 20 or 25 dollars for a veggie bowl and comparatively, the portion was super small, it was laughable honestly

Lively bar at the site of a sugar plantation built in the 1700s with an intact windmill base and house ruins. Live music, great drinks, and friendly crowd (it gets packed before sunset, so to get a table with a view, arrive early). Didn't try the food. Not sure if it's the "best" sunset view on the island, but the water view is surely worth the price of admission (they charge five bucks to park).

She was genuinely impressed with how good the pizza tasted, especially since it's hard to find great gluten free options. They have inside and outside dining, with most of the outside dining having shade from the tree cover. We had heard their chicken dishes were very good, so we ordered the chicken and waffles, with gravy and a fried egg on top. The chicken was crispy and moist. It was really tasty and definitely made the meal. We also ordered their special dish of the morning which was a fried breakfast burrito with egg, sausage, avocado and a glaze of the chipotle sauce on the tortilla, with a serving of country potatoes on the side. The filling of the burrito was very good, but I think I would rather have this deconstructed than inside a flour tortilla. There were many other good options on the menu and I'm sure I will enjoy trying the other breakfast entrees I saw being served. The star of our meal was our server. She was absolutely fantastic and didn't miss anything from greeting us, to wishing us an enjoyable day as we were leaving. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back again.
