Apparently, you can't play tennis on Sunday due to the Ashbridge Will. I'm not actually sure if the rule is enforced because the doors are not locked.! The courts themselves, are pretty nice. The lines are visible and there are little to no cracks on them. Though, there are only two courts. While none of the courts are shaded there is a shaded area right by the courts. In that area is picnic benches where kids and families have picnics and birthday parties. There is a pretty large playground with slides, monkey bars, a spider-web climbing structure and more! That must be fun for the kids! There is also two bathroom with water fountains. The water is solid and ice cold! There is also a large walking trail that goes around the park! Altogether, this is a great park to have fun at!

We were on our way into the city and met up with some friends for an impromptu play date. This park is really cool, with lots of modern play equipment for both younger tots and older kids. My 6 year old really enjoyed the "spider web." There is lots of parking and lots of space for the kids to play and it's right in the heart of the main line off of Montgomery Ave in Bryn Mawr. We'll definitely take the kids here again if we're in the area.

2.4-mile long one way…read more Multiple entrances. Parking varies based on when you enter. Friends of Radnor trail park is a good entrance with parking and a dog park. Bathrooms available there too. Wayne art center has parking. There's also a small lot off of Conestoga road by the curve across from Brookside Ave. Trail ends at Radnor Chester road and Sugartown road. Radnor Chester is a bit dangerous of an entrance. No parking available there. Parking at the shopping center across the street from the Sugartown entrance. Multiple other entrances have parking lots throughout the middle of the trail. Entrance also available from the apts by the township building and accessible from the township driving range off of Iven ave. Trail isn't flat. Has a slight tilt toward the edges. Occasional benches. Entrance by the art center is beautiful and always decorated by local art. Nice and quiet. Beautiful nature escape in the middle of a town. Mile markers on the side. Gets pretty busy when it's nice out and on afternoons. The local high school often uses the trail for cross country practice in the fall.

We spent some time walking towards Strafford and enjoying the nice weather. This trail seemed well maintained, but was completely asphalt. Perfect for anything with wheels. There were interesting things along the way, a larger "Friends of Radnor Trail Park", with a lot of dog activity. The Wayne Art Center had some art work lining the fences of the trail. One area of the trail even had a small community garden, where the walkers could help themselves to anything that was growing. It's a nice place to be outside,but you are basically walking in an alley between back yards. Well not an alley, because an old railway was here. The trail had some interesting information about where each stop was along the trail. A great way to reclaim land from those tracks. Additionally, there were port-a-potties along the path. A nice day out, but I don't know if we would ever return.

Can't ask for more as you're able to spend a perfect day at this park. The welcome center is a great start as they offer a great orientation video in a large theater that runs often. Then you can tour the museum for little bit of more history to absorb in! Gift shop offers great souvenirs! The park is clean and easy to get around as you may go at your own pace in your own car touring the park stopping at attractions. The map is easy to use and follow. Or you can purchase an audio tour or rent bikes. Love the history and the information provided. Great attractions that makes you feel in the moment when visiting. Love George Washington's quarters and the barracks around the park along with the artillery park. Hands down one of the best major attractions that you must visit when in the area.

My daughter loves Elevator Park! The play sets are large and varied, with plenty of things for…read morekids of all ages to do. They have swings for bigger kids, a pair of swings for babies, and a few swings that are adapted for kids with special needs. Many slides of many different heights, including two that are two stories tall. There is even a really cool "elevator" pole that has a platform that slowly decends when someone stops onto it, then returns up top when the person steps off. Not sure which came first, the name or the fun play element. The ground is made of the rubberized pavement which is nice under foot. They have a few tables as well as some benches for parents to sit and take a break or have a little picnic. In the park there is also a few fields including a baseball diamond. Parking can be limiting because of its popularity but I haven't had any issues thus far.

The park is much deeper than it appears from the road and parking area. It includes the playground, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a rain garden, open playing fields, and restrooms. This isn't the biggest playground but it has everything you need to keep a young child busy for an…read morehour or so: swing set, 4 slides, stuff to climb, seesaw, two seater rocking fire truck and even a little house with a kids size table and benches. My kids (age 2 and 4) love to pretend they're cooking and serving food (wood chip pizza of course) at the little house. We come here a couple times a month and it is never too crowded. The most I've ever seen here is three other families. There is a lot of shade so this place is forgiving on hot days. There are a ton of shaded picnic tables. There are no regular bathrooms but there are a couple porta-potties nearby. There is also a little lake in front of the parking lot. My kids love to walk around it and check out the ducks and then look for minnows from the little wooden bridge.

Fun fact: Decades ago, this property was the site of the Haverford State Mental Hospital, which…read moreoperated from 1964-1998. In 2006 Haverford Township sold the property to a developer with requirements that part of the land be kept for public recreation. These 5 miles of trails are the result, along with a rec center, dog park and athletic fields. On an unusually warm winter day Sheba and I went for a hike along the trails. We entered by the rec center, then followed the creek bed to the meadow & back. We passed a pollinator garden and some disc golf sites. It's a lovely hike any time of year. Trail markings are minimal, this would be the principal reason for a 4 star review. We could see the heavy autumn rains have taken a toll in a decent amount of trail erosion, leaving mazes of roots spread across the paths. As the property borders a busy highway we never quite got to the peaceful sounds of the deep woods. I highly recommend you have a photo of the trail map with you as it's not hard to get turned around. Wear good sturdy shoes, and a walking stick is not a bad idea. We swill definitely be back.
