I didn't even bother to ask my Spanish speaking BF to translate it for me, thinking all I needed to know was the date, time, and location. Secondly, I have never been to a 2 in 1, wedding and reception all at the same location, so I really thought this one would be just like any other receptions I have been to. I'm so glad I went and had the honor of being there to witness the beautiful ceremony. This venue is literally out in the middle of nowhere. it's secluded and very intimate. The setting was perfect, overlooking the lake, the barn, and some hays too. The only thing missing was probably some horses. After the ceremony, we moved right inside for the reception. I love the fact that the reception hall was like a huge garage. It has rolled up doors that 2 full sides could be wide opened if the weather permits, which it was a perfect day for it. It's a location worth checking out and considering if you're planning for your big day. Just a heads up tho, the parking lot is all gravel, be very careful if you wear high heels. It was a real pain in the ass for me making that short walk to and from the car, but I suck at walking in high heels, so u might be just fine ;)

The venue was beautiful and perfect for sunset photos with the pond. We had plenty of room inside and outside for our ~120 guests, DJ, photobooth, cakes etc. We highly recommend Big Sky for weddings or any event.

There was plenty of parking available here and the staff was helpful in directing people all day long. If I could give this venue 0 stars I would. The day of rehearsals for the wedding party, the…read morevenue's manager changed the time that was agreed upon 6 months before hand. This resulted in half of the wedding party not being able to make it in time and on top of that the entire time of rehearsals one of the venue employees (Kelcey) was following the bride around repeating "you'll need to leave soon" "it's almost time to leave" "make sure to finish in time" making it even harder for everyone to get through rehearsals. We were not allowed to bring outside alcohol in which was understandable but the bartenders that were provided were super rude and seemed like they didn't even have basic classic cocktail knowledge. The bride and groom purchased a five thousand dollar bar tab for an open bar for everyone, the bartenders started charging after an hour an a half of serving! For 30 minutes of that time the ceremony was going on so no one was inside and the when we were inside they had time to stand around and stare at everyone, so it was seemed highly unlikely that the tab had already been ran up. At the end of the night the venue staff told the wedding party we needed to make sure that all of the trash was taken out and taken all the to the dumpster. Any other venue that I've been to or rented out that task is definitely the venue's responsibility. This venue made it absolutely impossible for the bride and groom to relax and enjoy their time. The employees kept telling the parents of the newly wed couple about more things we needed to do or not allowed to do, it seemed like they were making up rules or standards as the night went on. Weddings can be such stressful times and this venue staff only added to the stress. Super disappointed because the building itself was beautiful.

Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.

We learned about Spookly the Pumpkin and enjoyed the most amazing pumpkin popsicles on the planet. We came back this month for the Blueberries. SO FUN. Yes, wear boots, especially after rain. The property is luscious with trees and a creek. They also have bee hives you can observe (from a safe distance). The blueberry popsicles are amazing. All four flavors of Spring popsicles were delicious. We had a popsicle "flight" and tried them all! Restrooms are porta-potties with a hand washing pump sink, so come prepared with your little tot oxo car potty if you're like me and would rather take littles to the car to potty. The owner, Jill, is such a gracious host. She is delightful and enjoys meeting everyone! We got my Dad a block of blueberry fudge, and he said it was the best fudge he has ever eaten (which is saying a lot!!!) This is our new "happy place" for a Fall and Spring excursion to enjoy the seasonal delights of pumpkins and blueberries!!

I picked the 9 am slot which is the earliest time they have and it was perfect. Not too hot and not too many people. It's $7 a pound for the berries. There's a great sitting area and they you gotta walk thru this cute little wooded trail for like less than 5 minutes. And it was wonderful! So pretty and peaceful. Don't forget to also try their popsicles.
