Here, we met Barak O'Llama, Sir Llama-lot, Drama Llama, Bahama Llama, and the Dalhi Llama. They have an indoor, air-conditioned llama play room, where the llamas carry out their hierarchy and spend their time staring in the mirror. They have a whole llama show where they teach a llama class. It's super fun! If you ever need a llama themed wedding, this is a great place to do it. Out in front of Castle Waterford, be sure to check out their art- a metal chariot, the Loch Ness Monster, and other weird stuff. It's a beautiful venue that's such a fun place to hang out at! The only draw back was that the only restroom out here was a port-a-potty. Not very regal.

One thing I do want to point out despite my 5-star rating is the fact that we were limited to only 2 bartending services. One that was all inclusive and really expensive (more than the venue itself) and another that charged $800 for 5-hours of bartending service and we provide everything (liquor, beer, wine, sodas, napkins, cups, straws etc.) , they go by the name of "3-Bartending" we went with this option, they were by far the worst Bartending service experience that we've ever had. Many of our guests complained about being forced to tip, and being harassed by the male bartender to tip or being plain rude to them. Many of my male friends expressed how all females would get a 16oz cups for drinks but males would get the 9oz cups that were purchased for wine and not necessarily drinks. Female friends even told us that the bartender would mention "I'll make you that drink if you tip me" comments like that. Given they already were paid and had a tip jar out, which we were fine with. But to be rude to our guests was totally unacceptable. At the end of the night our wedding planner mentioned that the bartender would not leave until we gave them an additional tip, after them having a tip jar all night, harassed our guests and had already been paid $800 for 5-hours of bartending service. Many people also complained about the lack of liquor in each drink, telling us they were very light which caused them to go for more and more, and each time they went, guess what happened? Even after them already tipping once before, guests were harassed to tip again! Lack of supplies, was not an issue on our part; we had plenty of cups, alcohol, beers, mixers and ice left over by the end of the night. It just seemed like this was done intentional to charge our guests for a drink that we had already purchased and paid for their service. Prior to the event we even had to do our own research for the ingredients and measurements of each drink that we wanted to offer. That kinda then surprised me that a bartender wouldn't know how to make a jack & coke, a cherry sour, or a screwdriver and why do we have to provide instructions to a bartender on how to make a drink, after literally being paid $160/hour to do their job. The least they could have done was do a simple google search prior to the event if they didn't know. I really do and blame The Springs on this one. With very little bartending choices and the only choice to have an a la carte option, we were stuck with a horrible service from "3 Bartending" I would write a very negative review for them, but to their luck, they are no where to be found on Google, which I'm not surprised, by the service they provided, they probably would receive many other negative reviews if they were easily found. The Spring, I really highly recommend you get a replacement or offer additional bartending options other than the only 2 options given

I DO NOT recommend them…read more They concealed an issue with their AC system, and never notified us until it was late into the evening and we and other guests were continually asking why it was so hot. They later admitted the HVAC systems were having issues for DAYS before, which they knew of in advance and DID NOT TELL US. We had to end our wedding early because it was just too hot inside, when we were promised an indoor climate controlled space which you can find anywhere else in Texas. They offered only a partial refund after the fact, which doesn't cover the devastation and costs of ending early, the lost time for all the vendors we paid for, hair and makeup not lasting, guests being uncomfortable and some guests even getting sick and leaving early, etc. They even went so far as to try and blame us for "leaving the doors open for up to 30 minutes" which our own footage shows that actually didn't happen, and if they had noticed the doors being left open and they KNEW about the AC being out, they should have notified one of our team or actually just shut the door. Any church or restaurant in Texas knows how to keep the indoor climate freezing cold, even in the peak of summer time. This is a VENUE. The fact is they knew and said nothing and therefore we could do nothing. Based on this experience ruining the day that we worked so hard to create, I recommend DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

Chef Zach prepared a prime rib dinner for 60 and the prime rib was far better than any I have ever eaten at any restaurant. The sides and desserts were equally as delicious. I am not easily impressed and Occasions far exceeded my expectations. My guests were still bragging on the rehearsal dinner at the wedding.

They are located at the intersection of I-30 and FM 548 in Royse City on the south side of the highway. There is a good chinese restaurant across the road (Rice Express), a Pizza Hut, and a sandwich shop in the Exxon Tiger Mart across the road. I had to stay here briefly recently when my house burned and I felt at home with the people and the room.
