A decent place to stay if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Cherry Hill/Mount Laurel area. Room was your standard hotel room with a view of the beautiful New Jersey roads. I wouldn't say come here for your honeymoon, but if you are looking for a hotel to stay in the area, this place will do. The only parking is on the side, or around the back of the hotel. This makes it quite odd, because unless you are being dropped off, you won't be coming in the front entrance, but rather the back door, which is pretty unceremonious. Service here was decent. We asked the host if we could get a really late check-out. 1pm was the latest he could do, anything else he'd have to charge us for. There was free lemon & orange water in the hallway across from the elevators. In the morning before we left, I checked out the breakfast buffet, which was being offered at around $20. I didn't partake, but just by looking at it, wasn't worth the price. They had some hot foods, but it was really just a continental breakfast with some hot foods in serving trays. I was only here very briefly, but for what I needed it to be (a clean place to stay and sleep), it worked. If I ever needed to stay in the Mount Laurel/Cherry Hill area, I'd consider this place.

Really nice looking hotel, in the midst of many hotels. The only other hotel I would stay would be Aloft. Most of the the characteristics of this hotel was on point, just a few things that I feel weren't accommodating. The shower isn't practical for women of color. It falls from the top like a waterfall and shoots right at you like a sprinkler. It doesn't do both at the same time, thank goodness, cause that would be assault but neither particularly work for short women of color, unless they are wearing a shower cap or don't care if their hair gets wet. The bed wasn't really comfortable at all. I couldn't really get comfortable like I wanted/expected but according to Fitbit, I slept some of the best sleep I've had in a while, my app said but I didn't want to go back to sleep, even though I woke up at 7am. Not because I was alert and ready to go but because the bed was lumpy and lacked support. It was 75 in the room (although it felt cooler) but I was trying to get it to 65 so that I could sleep well. When I woke up, it was still 75 (although it felt like 70) even though it showed that it was set to be 65. My drinks the night before was good and smelt amazing. So much that I didn't finish the last drink til the morning and the scent of it might have helped me sleep. It was a treat to wake up to. The bartenders were very attentive and helpful with drink suggestions and information. Breakfast was done pretty well. Like most places, there weren't any non-pork meats for breakfast. Actually, there was some smoked salmon that was pretty good. The food was so good and I was so hungry that I didn't take a photo of any of the 3 plates I consumed from the buffet. The place was pretty clean. I like the cleanliness of the room and the hallways. It smelled nice and not too heavy, other than the perfume this one lady was wearing. I would definitely stay here over many of the other places but I would search for a more comfortable bed before coming back. Also, I hate tucked in sheets and blankets. I'm 6'4". I hate trying to kick the covers out at the bottom!

What our beds looked like after the room was refreshed

Big shout out to Hannah at the front desk! She treated us like royalty and made our stay memorable. She even blessed us with a cheese & fruit platter as a welcome! Housekeeping, on the other hand, was not what we expect from a Westin hotel. The beddings were wrinkled when we first got in, and everyday when they refreshed the room, the beds did not look fresh and crisp as they should. One day they only gave us 2 towels instead of the usual 4. They need some help in this department. Overall our stay was great, breakfast was very good too!!

In the area for a business meeting and didn't feel like commuting. The check in rep was nice enough. It's the room that's the issue: it's got obvious signs deteriorating on the ceiling and window, shower curtains aren't long enough to keep the bathroom from flooding, couch pillow had a dark red stain, and the door having a big enough gap for me to hear everybody that walked by. I think I'll just commute the next time.

I only chose to book with Westin Mount Laurel for the hot tub - as my mother's Christmas gift. She is in severe pain from terrible spine, hip, and rheumatoid arthritis conditions and is walking with a cane. I, too, suffer from RA and have recent injuries. We planned to relax and use the hot tub often. We couldn't use the hot tub. You could not see the bottom of the hot tub or pool due to cloudy, unsanitary, and unbalanced water. They drained both on Wednesday. The hot tub reopened late on Wednesday while the pool was filling. It was lukewarm. When we turned on the jets, a burst of cold, cloudy water was observed, which told us that the lines were not fully purged and that there was a possible cross-connection to the pool. Lots of grout is missing, a harbor for bacteria, and walls are saturated with moisture. On top of that, our showers were lukewarm at best, and the carpets were wreaked of toxic carpet cleaner. We asked housekeeping not to enter our room and they did anyway. The accessible outdoor walkway was covered with wet leaves and cigarette butts - a hazard for my mother with her cane and any wheelchair user. I attempted to get help from Expedia, and when they called the hotel, manager Ali and his staff lied to them about the hot tub being closed.

BEWARE BED BUGS - I just stayed at this hotel after the pandemic on a business trip and it was not the same place I stayed at so many times . The condition was run down and the place just felt dirty. I was bitten by bed bugs during my stay. I knew it because I had stayed at the hotel down the street, the Doubletree and the same thing happened so I was familiar with the symptoms.

First the check in: I requested a 2:00 pm check in which is a hour earlier than the 3:00 pm posted time. I showed up at 2 and our room was ready. Check in was smooth and quick. The desk clerks were very nice. Our room: Seemed very clean. No problems at all. Didn't even find a stray hair. Bed was firm but not too hard. We didn't use housekeeping during our stay. So can't say anything here. The location did seem to attract some traveling school kids. I assume with sports teams. Of course you have kids you can have hallway talking and running. Of course this is not the fault of the property. Luckily this wasn't too bad. They found their rooms at a decent hour. Let's talk breakfast: Not bad at all. Each of the three days was a little different. Eggs, potatoes, French toast, waffles, bagels, pork sausages were all offered at one time or the other. All were hot. Let's talk about breakfast clean up. I witnessed the front desk folks cleaning up tables at the eating area. They did a great job with this, which allowed a lot of folks to roll through. The area: seemed safe and free of homeless or riff raff. Numerous places to eat, get gas or even shop at Walmart. So I do recommend this hotel and if back in the area would stay at again.

Next, I got into the smelly & defective elevator. I wondered if I accidentally hit a button the first time it called for Help. But then when it did this on my ride back to the lobby, I realized it wasn't me. This venture back downstairs was to ask about the "Sky Lounge" listed on the app as an on-property dining option with light bites. I was hoping to find libations, as I was trying to escape the persistent vacuuming right outside my door past 7PM. I encountered a pushy & sarcastic bartender at a bar in the corner of the lobby who said the "Sky Lounge" didn't exist. I ordered a vodka & soda from her to take back to my room since the lobby was still rowdy (a few hours later)--no soda could be detected so one can assume it was flat--just like this hotel stay.

It breaks my heart to write this review being a fan of the brand generally, but I always believe in…read morebeing honest and so my honest review is merely a 2 star stay at this location. Keep in mind, this is only for a 2 day stay - and I'm thankful it's all I had lined up here. Something to also keep in mind is that I'm an incredibly easy 'customer' - I rarely ever complain like some others tend to do, even for the times I probably should. Normally I'd just dismiss it, but this time irritated me a little more than usual. The grounds are very nice and the location is very convenient. There are multiple hotels in the vicinity - some within walking distance - which makes the issues at this location baffling due to the competition all over the area. The first issue I had was the lack of hot water in the shower (the sink was fine). The first night, I had to run the water for over 10 minutes for the water to finally get warm enough (never fully as hot as I'd like it). The second night, I gave up after 20 minutes of no hot water. It was late and I didn't bother to complain, because I wasn't going to sit there while they tried to figure it out. I've never had this experience at any Courtyard or any other hotel before for that matter. Hell, I've stayed at seedy hotels and motels before (don't ask) and I never had this issue before. Keeping it on the subject of plumbing, the toilet was strange - sometimes you'd have to flush it twice. I guess it depended on whatever mood it was in and not the contents. It's one of those bathrooms where the sink is separated from the shower and toilet - I'm not a fan of that design, but it is what it is. Another issue I had were the horrible pillows. They really ought to have some variety, which includes offering firmer pillows. Three pillows and they were terrible. Three pillows and I can grab all three with one hand and still make a fist. I had to roll up the blanket to use as a pillow. I didn't sleep well either night I was there because of that. It's almost miraculous I didn't wake up with the sore neck I predicted I would. Yet another issue was the lack of turn down service - they never came into my room once during my 2 day stay and I was gone from the room for most of the days. Luckily I'm not a slob like other hotel guests are, so it was just a minimal issue to me and I still had enough towels. I just mention it to mention it. The mini fridge is really small (and had to be adjusted temp wise), so be strategic with whatever you choose to use it for - if at all. While some would complain about the "thin walls", it's more of the other hotels guests being loud, oblivious, weird, and rude and not the hotel's fault. They did put me in a room with an adjoining room - the guests on that side were a little loud, but once I blasted my TV they seemed to take the hint to pipe down a few notches. I didn't use any of the hotel amenities to comment on them. I didn't need the wifi, didn't bother with whatever "breakfast" they offered, didn't use the "fitness" room, or anything else. It was just in the room and out and nothing more. Everything was clean, though the lower outside of the tub had some marks on it that might make other guests complain. As mentioned, the grounds are nice and there was plenty of parking. Speaking of parking, they apparently charge a $10 daily parking fee for some reason - but mine was waved. A small bonus for the inconveniences of this stay, but to charge for parking here at all is a little strange. Most of the staff were acceptable. The two in the front I deal with were friendly. Some of the other staff however weren't friendly at all. I still plan to use Courtyard again - just not this location ever again. Hopefully this is not a trend and all others will start following the problems of this location, otherwise I might have to look for another brand to use altogether. Over a dozen hotels in the very immediate area and I chose the wrong one................this time.

Aloft one of Marriott's "modern" hotel lines (along with AC which is good). I've been at 3 Alofts because I like punishment apparently. So, what's wrong with Aloft? Look at the pictures. One is of the "closet". It's not a real closet. It can only hang 5 items because of the configuration. It has a shower curtain as a "door". And notice. NO DRAWERS. In fact, there are no drawers in the entire room. None. Everything is in the open. What modern person has essentially a non functioning closet and no drawers for anything? No one. That's who. Next is the edgy bathroom. This hotel is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Why you say? Look at the bedroom pic. That's a frosted window INTO THE SHOWER. See the shower pic to see the frosted window. How edgy that must be for a couple. Sure you can't see anything but you can see shadows. So do you want your kids trying to see if they can see mom in the shower? No of course you don't. Also, the shower section is barely lit so hopefully you can shower with your eyes closed in the dark. Finally, the materials are cheap and not well maintained. Everything is laminate fake wood and it's all peeling. And that's not just this one. It's been all 3. Plus plenty of other fit and finish stuff like the giant scuff on the wallpaper from the desk chair. Or the almost broken door lock. Oh and outlet placement is pretty terrible too at the desk. Now the good news is this hotel is next to a Millers. The wxyz bar is pretty good. And inside is a "high end" steak restaurant (not run by Marriott) which has a fantastic bar and terrible overpriced food (ok so that's not good news). I didn't interact with any staff so I don't know if they were amazing or not. Honestly, there are 20+ hotels in a 2 mile radius. Stay somewhere else. If you're Marriott, the Courtyard across the street is pretty good especially for the price. And if a manager reads this, don't reply back. When checking in there wasn't a luggage carrier available. When I asked the Fri t desk person she said 'guests usually don't return them to the checkin but, I did see one in the parking lot'. So, she KNEW there was one outside BUT, didn't go and get it to make it available. I had to go out in 95 degree temp to retrieve it. Poor. I checked in with my cat and told them I would not require housekeeping as I didn't want any issues. The very first morning housekeeping knocked on my door at 9am (I work until after midnight) waking me up. Clearly there isn't any communication between the desk and housekeeping. If I wasn't there, they would have come in and who knows what happens with my animal. I came down for breakfast (sit down and order taken and wasn't cheap). I sat for 10 mins and no one came to take my order. I had to go back to the desk and ask them if they could send a server to take my order. Mind you, I did hear them talking in the back kitchen area. Here is where it gets unacceptable. I took the prefer to go and, when I got to my room and removed the lid from my oj, there were fruit flies floating on it! One actually flew away. I was able to speak to the GM and let him know the whole story. I had then comp the food as I lost my appetite. I ran out of lotion in the bathroom on the 3rd day (I was staying just over a week) and asked the housekeepers in the hallway to refill it. Did that a few times and finally asked the front desk to tell them to do it as I was told there was a language barrier by the GM. Never happened. Poor. My last day I went down to get coffee (the one consistent good thing) and it wasn't there! Was told by the desk (same person from my checkin) that the GM decided they weren't offering free coffee anymore. A few things here. Being a corp location, that decision isn't his to make and, if you are having profit issues and think removing the free coffee is going to help you, it's time to rethink your leadership skills. I extended my stay, paid and when I returned at 1am from a long work day, my key didn't work. I had to walk all the way around to the front to have it reactivated. So, you'd think when I extended my stay they would set the key up to work properly. Nothing like having to make that walk at 1am in the rain. Last thing, I realized I had left some dress slacks in the drawer I called the next day and the person who I spoke to told me to call back the next morning. Terrible attitude and zero help. When I called the next morning, I was told there was a whole checklist in place that is followed so, it wound have been found when they cleaned the room. I asked if they could go and look as I was 100% positive I left them in the drawer. Never called me back and I'm sure they are still in the drawer. It was the lack of empathy that bothered me. My review is based on the service as I think the room was fine. The jacuzzi jets didn't work but, minor. Don't stay here if you are expecting a Hilton level of service. Just too many service issues that could/should have been avoided.
