My first visit to Wells Coffee Shop was wonderful. The customer service was great, and the food was presented beautifully. I ordered the avocado toast with cream cheese, tomatoes, and balsamic, along with a side of coffee. The atmosphere was exactly what I hoped for, a beautiful place to study, fellowship, and grow in the Word of God. Unfortunately, my second and third visits were completely different. The staff was rude and dismissive. The avocado was carelessly thrown onto my toast in a clump, the tomatoes were smushed, and my nitro brew wasn't prepared the way I requested. When I asked for water or utensils, the response was simply, "It's over there," with no effort to provide basic hospitality. What made the experience worse was the inconsistency in how customers were treated. As I observed, staff were warm, attentive, and polite toward white customers, but dismissive and disrespectful toward people of other ethnicities, including me. The difference in treatment was obvious, and honestly, it felt racially motivated. As I also read through the reviews, I noticed I'm not the only one who has experienced this type of treatment. Seeing similar complaints there confirmed that my experience wasn't an isolated incident, which is why I felt it was important to share my own experience here on Yelp. For a place that represents itself as a ministry, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. A church coffee shop should reflect the love, kindness, and grace of God, not hypocrisy, exclusion, or racial favoritism. When staff fail to embody what God is about, it pushes people further away from church and from faith. That contradiction is the very reason I will never return. read more

The Well Coffee Shop, located on a church campus, is a spacious and inviting spot perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The interior is huge and open, featuring plenty of seating options including couches, lounge chairs, and even a cozy fireplace. During my visit, I ordered an iced caramel latte, avocado toast, quiche and a pastry. While there was some initial confusion about the pastry's shelf life--some signs suggested it could last for two months, but a staff member quickly clarified that it should be consumed the same day for food safety reasons--the service was prompt and friendly. The prices were very reasonable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the avocado toast and the pastry. However, the coffee was disappointing; it tasted like dirt water. Given how busy it was, I decided not to complain. Overall, The Well Coffee Shop is a super cool spot with a great atmosphere. It's definitely a place to bring the whole family, especially with its cool outdoor play space and activities. read more
