It's a lovely facility that has been kept in tip top shape. They have a variety of classes to sign your kids up for and if you're still standing you can get into a dance class too. They offer you a private trainer to try as a part of your membership. They have a walking track upstairs, there is a nutritionist on the property for consultation, they have classes and I think lunch for the elderly. When my kids were younger I practically lived at the Y because I was there 6 days a week. My kids are adults now and it's nice to be able to go to a class now for me. Membership isn't expensive either. I really am blessed to live within walking distance to my Y and it's a very nice facility.

I purchased guest passes so I could bring my son to experience the gym. Instead of being welcoming or professional, the employee openly expressed that he did not like my son and stated that he would refuse to sell me guest passes in the future. I found this behavior completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Guest passes are offered by the gym as a service to members, and personal opinions about a member's family should never influence whether that service is provided. The employee's comments made both my son and me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I expect staff to treat all members and guests with respect, regardless of personal feelings. Management should address this issue and ensure employees maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers.

As a full-time mom and coach, finding time and motivation isn't always easy. I need the accountability of scheduled classes and I love that I can even bring my baby with me. I'm also a little competitive, so I love the supportive community and how everyone encourages each other to be better. Reno, the head coach for the Sweat classes, does an AMAZING job of challenging everyone while making sure our form stays on point. He genuinely cares about everyone who walks through the door, teaches proper technique, and modifies movements when needed. I always leave feeling stronger than when I walked in. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and motivating community, I highly recommend Ikon Strength. I haven't made it to the Olympic weightlifting side yet, but I'm excited to learn from the incredible coaches there too! Truthfully a shocking and embarrassing experience while attending this 24 hour fitness. I was…read moreexcited to share my gym with someone new and found a 5 day pass a perfect opportunity. We drove over 20 minutes to work out and later discovered the 5 day pass is reserved for local residents only. We were given the option to either leave or pay a fee to upgrade my pass despite not knowing whether or not he enjoyed his experience. Samuel mentioned "it's policy." I was honestly expecting some sort of understanding with an allowance of attending this one time (as we were already dressed and ready for the gym) and an explanation for the passes' future use. Customer service is not what it used to be. As someone who holds a pass where I can attend any and all 24 hour fitnesses, I genuinely did not think this would be an issue. I don't even attend my local 24hr fitness for several reasons. If I was forced to use a 5 day pass at my local 24hr fitness, I'd be miserable and never step foot in another 24 hr fitness. This "rule" is a bit contradictory and damaging to 24hr fitness's reputation. I'm very disappointed because this was my friend's first time attending a 24hr fitness and my interest in renewing my pass for the following year has significantly decreased. We did end up leaving.

Coach Ashley in the morning was fun and led us in a good warmup before proceeding with the WOD which was clearly written on one of the TV monitors. I loved being able to get a good (and challenging) workout and also engaging with a lot of the local athletes. Everyone was welcoming and it was fun to crush a pretty advanced WOD. Although I would argue that the 400m run around the gym is a bit longer than 400, I can't be too upset at working my body up just a bit more. Thanks TTL for the great drop-in experience. I will definitely be back if the opportunity presents itself.

Cheryl, our instructor has been working and showing us how to move our whole body from the tip of your fingers all the way to your toes. I am a bit too far (25-30 min) to come here often but I do enjoy it when I can make it out. Would love for a location to open closer to North Torrance.
