So I stop in The Wax Strip this past Monday afternoon for a friend, who has limited mobility due to Cerebral Palsy; he is able to get around, but only by use of his wheelchair. During the summer months he finds a salon or barber that will assist him in a shave or a wax to help keep personal hygiene a breeze for someone who already has so many obstacles in his day-to-day routine. Since there are no appointments made at this particular establishment, I was turned away, saying the "Brazilian Specialist" would be in the following day. I explained my friend's situation, and we were assured that there was an adjustable bed that would help getting him on the table, but if that didn't work, he could lie on a towel on the floor for the wax session. We returned the following morning to an empty lobby, two customers leaving the booths to pay and leave, 3-5 employees that I could see roaming from booth to both cleaning. 20 minutes and three new customers later, we were finally acknowledged again. Only for the Manager, Brittany, to insult my friend by asking if he bathes regularly, when was the last time he had this done, who am I to him if not his nurse? She then told us there were no adjustable beds, that the floor was absolutely not going to happen, and thanked us for coming in. The receptionist was a sweet girl and tried to be very helpful, but none of the "Specialists" would give us the time of day, I feel like my friend was denied service because of his condition; it wouldn't be the first time, but it doesn't make it any better when the same ignorance is displayed in different times and places. The Wax Strip is the only place I trust! I go there for brow, lip, and brazilian waxes. Waxing is all they do and they are great at it! They are professional, organized, quick, and friendly! They do not double dip their sticks when applying wax to you, pay attention to this because I never thought anything of it before... then I go an infection from an eyebrow wax at a nail salon, when I thought back they double dip, which means they use 1 stick, apply the wax to your face use the same stick and repeat. Which means they do the same with other clients. THE WAX STRIP NEVER DOUBLE DIPS! I have not had any problems in the years I have been going. I always go to Nikki, she is the best! She is professional, quick, gentle, and patient! She is very open minded, I don't like to have the tops of my eyebrows waxed or get my eyebrows trimmed, but if i feel I need it then she will do it. She is super friendly and talks to me through the whole process which takes my mind off it and makes it hurt a little less. Hands down best waxing salon ever! read more

i think this is my first yelp review ever, but i just wanted to make it known. this place is great in one sense - staff is friendly and it's clean. however, i'm assuming they are short staffed but the wait is insane. so this made me start to schedule my appointments in advance! but even when i do this, there is still a wait as long as if i were to walk in. it is just frustrating because if people have tight schedules, there's a reason we make appointments! i just wish i didn't have to wait 30 minutes +++ every single time i'm here. i come here due to convenience of where i live, so hopefully i find another place nearby read more

I had the most wonderful experience in this location. I went to just get my eyebrows waxed but when I left I felt so good and excited. They inspired me to get a bikini wax before my first cruise. I felt very comfortable during the waxing and this was my first ever waxing "down there". She did an awesome job and I am 100% satisfied with the finished work. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about waxing. Crea is the best technician that I have ever had. She is very knowledgeable about her services. Each time I go, she is always in a cheerful mood and is always ready to conversate. I did my first Brazilian with her. I was nervous. But she talked me through it. She was quick. Which made it bearable. I definitely recommend the vajacial afterwards to sooth the after affect. Very friendly and professional. I went for my first French wax at age 58 and the young lady made me feel very comfortable(or as comfortable as one can feel under the circumstances...LOL). I loved that they DO NOT double-dip like I would get at any nail salon for brows ,etc. And I felt that they don't talk about their customers and laugh like I have overheard at my nail salon.
