Also a huge mixed grill, a massive stack burger called "the Beast" and plenty more other stuff to choose from, and home made chips too! The restaurant part of the pub is not too big so on Friday and Saturday it's booking or you will be disappointed but during the week it's quiet and you can just drop in. It is at the edge of Cannock Chase and if you sit on the far side of the pub by the window you can see for miles. The name comes from the old windmill in the grounds across the bowling green. In the winter it is lovely sitting by the roaring fire. There is a bar, lounge and upstairs restaurant. Sunday lunch is excellent with a good choice of meat. You can also order off the menu. The fish and chips are massive and amazing with crispy batter. Never had a bad meal here just sometimes they go over the top with peas but if you love them it's fine. They do good bread and butter pudding with custard. They also do real ale.
