Came in one random weekday and was so glad we stopped by. It's a cute little cafe serving fresh pastries everyday. We came in late afternoon and they were almost out of everything which is a good sign for me because that means they make everything fresh. I don't know if he was the owner but he was making fresh foccacia bread at the back. We also had their gelatos. The coffee gelato was really good with the toffee bits mixed in. Will definitely be back for more of their foccacia bread! It was so soft, fluffy and flavorful.

I hope this place lasts. The owner is so kind and thoughtful. He offered a sample of fresh Stracciatella gelato, it didn't have the chocolate and I fell in love with it. When I returned another weekend, I mentioned that I didn't realize it had chocolate in it and I'm not a chocolate lover. When ai returned again, he had placed a pint on the side without chocolate for me. That made my week! so amazing! Their muffaletta is amazing also!

Just stopped by for some gelato with my pregnant wife and stumbled upon an absolute GEM. The owner Dale is very friendly and welcoming! The inside was clean and decorated with games to play all around. Dale makes everything from scratch which is a relief from all the processed foods mostly available in the US. He makes a variety of fresh non preservative breads and sandwiches so give this place a try!! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES

This week's box was delicious!!! Off course, I couldn't leave without the best turtles I ever had.

Great food. Friendly staff. I had the chicken salad sandwich, goat cheese and fig gelato, and brownie.

Nice, family owned bakery. The food is extraordinary and the creativity is evident. I highly recommend The Wandering Goat.

The Creole Creamery - Finally! Chicken and Biscuit double scoop on a waffle cone. Phenomenal

It was just one scoop of disappointment after another. First of all, the "black and gold" flavor that one of us was so excited to have again had freezer burn on it and the chicory flavor was way less pronounced; their king cake flavor was essentially just birthday cake with Mardi Gras-themed sprinkles in it. The other one of us ordered "sweater weather" and it basically tasted like you were mainlining nutmeg. Too intense! And the creole cream cheese just tasted like plain cream cheese--and not in a good way! Our daughter was happy with her cotton candy (blegh) cone. We would not exactly describe portions as generous. Also, it should be mentioned that it was around 50 degrees outside and they had the A/C on full blast in there. Yes, we understand you don't want to pump the heat up and melt the ice cream, but we were shivering. Very unpleasant! What a bummer because we had the fondest memories of Creole Creamery and now it's quite soured. Maybe we need to go back to the Garden District location on another trip, but three stars for now.

The staff were friendly, and the $9 croffle, which came out hot and fresh, was truly excellent and the highlight of the visit (a tip I got from another customer, not the staff). Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I ordered the Shokupan (Japanese milk bread with ice cream and strawberries), which the menu clearly listed at $13. I was charged $15 on the receipt. When I brought this discrepancy to the associates, they explained that the price had been recently changed and the manager was "not good with technology," making them unable to correct the digital board. I explained that having a misleading price displayed at the point of sale is false advertisement and requested a simple $2 refund for the difference. The associates stated there was "nothing they could do" and suggested I speak to the owner. The owner came forward disgruntled. When I explained the situation, he did not apologize or attempt to de-escalate. Instead, he flatly stated there are no refunds, told me the price was $15, and tried to reprimand me for not accepting his verbal price correction after I had already been charged. He said it's not a big deal, prices change all the time, all this over two dollars, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. The sheer lack of professionalism, transparency, and simple customer courtesy was staggering. The owner's refusal to honor the price they were actively advertising left a sour taste that no dessert could fix. To add insult to injury, the Shokupan itself was underwhelming and in my opinion, not worth the $15 I paid: just a big chunk of dry bread topped with a scoop of ice cream. While the croffle was a treat, I cannot in good conscience recommend giving business to an establishment whose owner is willing to cause a scene over a $2 error of his own making (although he eventually gave me the $2 refund) demonstrating a clear disregard for community and honest business practices.

We had a great experience and already have it on the list of go-tos when we are back in the city, as we return fairly often. First off, that bread. My gosh, I could have just sat for an hour and eaten it alone. I love that it just keeps coming too - we never once had to ask for more; by the time we were finishing up the pieces there, another set was delivered. Heaven. We had not one bad thing. The ikra was the surprise of the salatims/dips - so good - and the muhammara was excellent as well. That fried chicken hummus was perfect - so creamy and a bit of a different texture than most other hummus, but it worked. We tried the lamb kebabs and crispy halloumi - both of which were solid; however, when they say small plates, they mean small. I thought the serving sizes were a bit tiny. Nonetheless, we were full before even making it to the larger dinner plates and settled on the chocolate tart and knafeh cheesecake for dessert; honestly, I could have done without both. They weren't bad, but they weren't very flavorful to me. Definitely a 5-star, but if it wanted to be a 10-star, I would say a bit larger portions, better desserts, and more friendly service (he did his job but didn't really seem like he wanted to be there). Go now!
