Try this! New hotspot for fresh ice cream, gelato and more! I had the butter pecan waffle cone and husband got a creamy rich coffee scoop in a cup. Reasonable prices and clean. Great pit stop coming and going from lafreniere park. Yum!

Best service in town! Everything looks clean, nice ambience so colorful to bring our kids in. Rich variety of paletas gelatto and ice cream. Flavors that you can't find in another place. I'm their client for ever lol

I was excited to try Sweet handKraft, as the interior is genuinely lovely, nicely decorated,…read morewell-lit, and immediately welcoming. The staff were friendly, and the $9 croffle, which came out hot and fresh, was truly excellent and the highlight of the visit (a tip I got from another customer, not the staff). Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I ordered the Shokupan (Japanese milk bread with ice cream and strawberries), which the menu clearly listed at $13. I was charged $15 on the receipt. When I brought this discrepancy to the associates, they explained that the price had been recently changed and the manager was "not good with technology," making them unable to correct the digital board. I explained that having a misleading price displayed at the point of sale is false advertisement and requested a simple $2 refund for the difference. The associates stated there was "nothing they could do" and suggested I speak to the owner. The owner came forward disgruntled. When I explained the situation, he did not apologize or attempt to de-escalate. Instead, he flatly stated there are no refunds, told me the price was $15, and tried to reprimand me for not accepting his verbal price correction after I had already been charged. He said it's not a big deal, prices change all the time, all this over two dollars, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. The sheer lack of professionalism, transparency, and simple customer courtesy was staggering. The owner's refusal to honor the price they were actively advertising left a sour taste that no dessert could fix. To add insult to injury, the Shokupan itself was underwhelming and in my opinion, not worth the $15 I paid: just a big chunk of dry bread topped with a scoop of ice cream. While the croffle was a treat, I cannot in good conscience recommend giving business to an establishment whose owner is willing to cause a scene over a $2 error of his own making (although he eventually gave me the $2 refund) demonstrating a clear disregard for community and honest business practices.

It was just one scoop of disappointment after another. First of all, the "black and gold" flavor that one of us was so excited to have again had freezer burn on it and the chicory flavor was way less pronounced; their king cake flavor was essentially just birthday cake with Mardi Gras-themed sprinkles in it. The other one of us ordered "sweater weather" and it basically tasted like you were mainlining nutmeg. Too intense! And the creole cream cheese just tasted like plain cream cheese--and not in a good way! Our daughter was happy with her cotton candy (blegh) cone. We would not exactly describe portions as generous. Also, it should be mentioned that it was around 50 degrees outside and they had the A/C on full blast in there. Yes, we understand you don't want to pump the heat up and melt the ice cream, but we were shivering. Very unpleasant! What a bummer because we had the fondest memories of Creole Creamery and now it's quite soured. Maybe we need to go back to the Garden District location on another trip, but three stars for now.

Honestly Marble Slab has some of the best ice cream and a variety of great flavor selections. But…read morethe best thing is that the toppings are complimentary!! This location is located in a lot with a few other restaurants and there is plenty of parking, however, it can be a bit cramped during peak rush hour though. The waffle cones are fantastic. This is not the place to go in terms of "service" as it is usually high school/college aged students serving the ice cream. Go up to counter, place order and indulge in the goodness of your selection. The interior of this location has a low-key atmosphere and not much distraction, which is perfect if you are bring family/kids/date and can have some focused 1 on 1 time and connect, or simply sit back and just "chill"

We are from out of town and decided to meet with a friend for dinner as she lives in Louisiana…read more After having dinner, we wanted dessert so she said Cold Stone. My kids love Cold Stone. When we arrived, I did not see Cold Stone and my friend said, "it's a similar concept". Ambiance: It's relatively small corner ice cream place in a busy shopping center. There is parking though. Service: Upon arriving, there was a long line so I was wondering what was taken so long when I counted at least four employees behind the counter. As I got closer to place my order, I notice that there are a group of teenage kids that know the kids behind the counter so there was a bunch of chit-chat. Didn't see manager or any type of management at all. We were a big party. A group of seven. We ordered three milkshakes with no whip cream and four small cups. When I received my order that was made in front of me, it was pretty much melted. I didn't think anything of it. My son received his cookies and cream with vanilla and Oreos milkshake. I noticed the lady put whip cream when I specifically requested "no whip cream on my shakes". I didn't want to deal with the hassle because I just wanted to get out. Too much chit-chatting behind the counter. No place to sit. We ate outside. Food: My ice cream was good but mine was melted. I liked the unlimited toppings. That's a nice touch. Health violation: My son that had the shake with whip cream fell ill just hours that night. We said he had a pain in his stomach. I told him to lay down while we get to our hotel. The next morning, he was hunched over on the bed complaining of stomach pain and didn't want to eat anything. I told him to eat breakfast at least and he just had cereal. After an hour after breakfast, he threw up. My son definitely got food poisoning and I believe it was from the whip cream. He was the only one in our party that had whip cream. My son didn't eat that day at all. Fell better the following morning. Very disappointing experience for us.

This unassuming spot in a strip mall was gorgeous inside. And it serves coffee, pastries, ice cream plus y'know candy. AND they roast their own nuts, spices and I guess coffee beans. There were definitely folks hanging out and enjoying a Turkish style coffee... I guess either the caffeine doesn't hit them the way it does me or they had no plans to sleep. The candy isn't labeled 100% correctly but you kind of know that gummy worms are not gummy strawberries. I tried an assortment bag of gummies and some of chocolates and the price was by the pound. They also carry some gummy and chocolate varieties, some spices, some boxed coffee, some Middle Eastern pastries. Only some things were labeled with either what it was or the price of it, so that was a little disorienting. I was surprised to find a cafe and gelato bar inside. The gelato flavors were incredible. I settled on popcorn caramel and baklava in a waffle bowl. An employee said that everything was made in-house. The price was standard considering that all was made there. The service was weird. I kept getting served after people who'd gotten there after me. My ice cream scoops were significantly smaller than my boyfriend's. Returning isn't high on my list of priorities, but I'm glad I tried them.
