I thought I knew what a good estate-planning lawyer did: I had worked with one to set up my own trust, and with another to amend my mom's. But after talking to Alex, I realized how much I didn't know, and how inadequately my husband and I had provided for our modest assets to be protected and distributed to our heirs. We're convinced her expertise has saved our family a lot of grief (not to mention money!) Alex really knows her stuff. Not just the law--although she's clearly mastered her speciality, and works hard to keep her knowledge current--but how to communicate it to her clients in a straightforward, understandable way.
