The silver lining of this dark cloud was having Castro Law already engaged with my older brother's estate. I was overwhelmed by all of this, in particular because I live on the East Coast and neither of my brothers had a will or had done any other estate planning. From my first phone call, Loren and Thomas were kind and understanding. They mapped out for me what the process of settling these estates would entail, and then they and their team assisted me at every step of the way. I deeply appreciate the clear, prompt, and thorough communication from every member of the team throughout the process. They thoroughly explained what and how to do at each step required of me, and they were efficient with all the court filings and other tasks in their parts of the process. In addition, every member of the staff was very generous and helpful in connecting me with outside resources when I needed them.

Most of all, she is honest, was sensitive to my needs, and genuine. Ella assisted my husband and I with estate planning and took care of everything expeditiously! I couldn't have asked for better guidance in ensuring my family's future interests are protected for generations to come!

I recently contacted Ella for trust administration and family estate planning. After setting up an…read moreinitial call, she requested a digitized version of the trust so she could review it ahead of our Zoom meeting scheduled for a few days later. I scanned and emailed the documents as requested the next day.  Leading up to our confirmed appointment, she reached out to tell me she had gone over the trust and included a few questions, to which I replied with answers and a few follow-up questions of my own. I wanted clarification so I wouldn't go into the Zoom call unprepared, but she never replied in the days that followed.  By the day of the appointment, I wasn't even sure the meeting would still take place due to her lack of communication in answering my last email. Minutes before the scheduled time, I received a text from her saying she was running late and asking to push the call back. Given the complete lack of communication and preparation during the prior week, I decided to postpone the call.  The next day, Ella emailed me title information for the property along with fee quotes. I replied directly, acknowledging her initiative in pulling title but expressing clear disappointment regarding the lack of communication prior to our scheduled appointment. I offered to connect later that week to discuss expectations and next steps. Ella never replied. After two full days of silence, I officially cut ties and instructed her to disregard my matter.  Handling an estate requires basic reliability, punctuality, and responsiveness. Because none of those standards were met, my search continues.

Since they have agreed to provide the refund, it's taken 7 weeks, my signature to agree to cancel (countersigned), and my 10+ follow up. As of now the refund has not been given. They also lied the reason of taking this long, forced me to put me on the phone. Now they're blackmailing me to remove my reviews "if" I want the refund, in spite of the fact it's what they have already promised and confirmed. I am a very fair person and if they did follow through what they promised I was willing to update the review, however, they can't buy my free right now... after 7 weeks? It's very unfortunate that even these people that should know laws, promises mean something, can't/won't follow through.
