I was informed that this was not a problem so I went to the restaurant with my family, expecting a tasty meal. When we ordered the food, we asked for the dish to be made without cheese and was told that this was fine. When the food arrived, it looked as though it contained cheese so I politely asked the server to double-check. The server returned promptly and informed me that the dish did not contain cheese. After a few minutes, the server returned and told me that they could not be sure that the dish did not contain cheese and that I should prod the food in order to find out. I found that the dish seemed to contain cheese and was very disappointed. The server went away and spoke to the chef and then returned to explain that the topping of cheese was removed but the dish still contained cheese (it had been bought in not prepared by the chef). I asked for an alternative meal and was provided with a plate of steamed vegetables! Not impressed- do not go here if you have special dietary requirements!
