If you love carby belgian waffles or frozen cardboard waffles this is not quite the same, just something better in it's own league. We ended up buying a few bags of the mixes to take home and prepare. We have had fun with the recipe (it calls for 2 cups of club soda- but you can sub with anything fizzy!) and have tried various fun iterations. I selected four and was most excited for the Earl Grey one. It was decent but disappointing; I tasted very little tea inside, it was pretty much just a plain caramel filling to me. The other two are still awaiting me. The ladies behind the counter were helpful and friendly, and were patient with my indecision. I also got one of their house stickers for my collection and I was thrilled that it was so reasonably priced! Some places charge SO MUCH for stickers that are, essentially, advertisement for them. I wish I could return soon but I live far away and it will probably be a couple years before I'm back. But you can be sure I'll be making time for a longer trip here then!

I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!
