The sales lady, while helpful and providing the appearance of credible was over the moon excited for me to buy a homeopathic oral spray. The sales pitch was long. It was tiring. She wore me down and I eventually bought it with the rest of my things. I came later to read that this spray not only contains NO actual medicine but the whole business of homeopathy is largely rejected by the scientific community. So I paid $20 for a placebo. Vitamin Shoppe is supposed to be a specialty store. You expect to pay a premium for selection and information. It should have a section in the store for alternative products that contain no actual ingredients, have zero scientific basis for extraordinary claims and proven ineffective by every legitimate study.

Originally, we went there to pick up B12 vitamins in the lowest mcg for my dad because his doctor said 1,000 mcg was too much for him. Most places I looked had 1,000 and above. We found the right kind of vitamins here. The price was decent. When we first walked in the lady working at the counter looked soooo ready to go home. They must have had a shift change in between because I eventually saw her huffing walking towards an employee only room and then huffing on the way out. She clearly was in a huff. On the plus side, the girl who checked us out was nice. I liked her! Now back to these discount items! I ended up purchasing two Dr. Bronner's bar soaps, two African black soap deodorant, Mega Food daily vitamin, two Mega Food Elderberry immune support gummies, and a plant based rest and repair nighttime power you add to water. The discount ranged from 25-75% off! The store has so many choices of vitamins that it is very overwhelming unless you know exactly what you are going there for. The prices are high compared to other places that I would pick up my vitamins (ie Costco, Amazon, Target, CVS). The location is a tad out of the way to just pick up vitamins, but I'm glad I stopped in for those discount items which BTW all expires late 2022.
