I'd not visited a Zen Leaf before, however the last time I was in Chicago, my brother picked up these great edibles for me (Bits) from the Evanston Zen Leaf location. When I finished those Bits, I wanted more and thus found the Zen Leaf fairly close to me in Elkridge. One Saturday morning I saw there was a deal on Bits, for $5, so I placed a huge order online and scheduled an afternoon pickup. Seeing Zen Leaf Elkridge in person is wild. The place used to be a bank, but now it's so much cooler! I love the dark gray-blue paint against the white columns. Also Zen Leaf being in an old bank means a super functional drive thru. This was great, my whole transaction took place through what looked like an old bank box, lol. The customer service person I dealt with was very chill and helpful (which seems to be the case with all people who work at dispensaries, go figure, lol). He told me the $5 deal was just for 1 pack of Bits, and regular pricing would apply to the rest. He also patiently explained I can only order so much in a day, so he helped me figure out alternatives for my purchase. After that, I paid and received my order. I have a love/hate relationship with Zen. I love the staff, the online ordering, and the ease of pick up. I hate that it's owned by Verano and sells mostly Verano and Verano affiliated products. I used to love Verano, but about two years ago their cartridges started leaking during use and a lot of times the cartridges were only 80% full at the time of purchase. I also strongly dislike the new rewards system. The system used to allow customers to keep their rewards for an infinite amount of time. The new system wipes your rewards in 30 days. Ok maybe not 30 days, but it feels like you only have 30 days to use them (lol). read more

What's the sense in having a medical ID card because you can't use it to pick up an order. I frequent zen leaf because I used to like the store I stop by today to pick up my order and I forgot that my license technically expired 2 days ago because my new ID hasn't come in the mail yet so with a license 2 days expired in the state medical photo ID you still can't pick up your order. To me that is insane and for a customer that frequents the place. The reason you usually go to the same place is so you are familiar with the people there and they are familiar with you I thought that was the case. F this store! read more

Well now because marijuana is legalized I stand in the lobby as a medical card holder with sometimes 10 or more people who are there to purchase recreationally. when I questioned the pregnant girl, the front desk, I was told that it doesn't matter. You have no priority as a medical card holder only once you actually make it to the back and get in line. That's the stupidest thing ever for people who are sick and patronize your establishment before this even became legal. Staff is extremely slow for the most part, and you sit at the drive-through forever when you choose to not go in. Another reviewer said extremely loud music and staff unable to answer a lot of questions. I visited Zen Leaf in Jessup for the first time the other day. It has only been open for a couple of weeks or less. This is a brand new medical marijuana dispensary located in an industrial park. Park outside and you will relish the smell of fresh dank bud. Inside, all I had to do was fill out some paperwork, show my medical marijuana card and I waited for about 10 minutes. A sales person took me in and explained some of the products to me. Some of the products are sold out because of high demand, pun intended. The prices here are super high (more puns!) but the prices are expected to come down as demand increases. For $178 I walked out with two small jars of "flower" and a 5-pack of pre-rolled fatties. Cash only but there is an ATM in the store. Medical marijuana is here, Maryland! Now go get it. read more

I called there phone line and was told they were open until 10pm on an automatined recording. I drove 45 minutes because I do not have dispensary near me. It was 630pm when I got there yet they turned me away because they said it closes at 7pm. I have just returned from ZenLeaf in Jessup, MD. NEVER have i felt so disrespected by their staff. Prior to choosing their dispensary I read a few Yelp reviews and they were not very good reviews, however, the product I was looking for I could only find at that location, so I started to fill in an profile and order. At the checkout, after uploading a copy of my DD214 (Military Discharge Papers), the order completed and THEIR system automatically applied the discount. The Zenleaf website says same day delivery. You must get through the checkout process before you are given a delivery status. Which in this case it said Monday. NOWHERE does it say free delivery monday thru Friday. Therefore I decided to physically go to the dispensary. Not a bad place considering it's in a industrial park. I get in and up to the counter, place my order and get ready to pay. I attempt to verify the total and there is no discount. The young lady if fact said there was no profile. Anyway I was informed that she needed proof that I was a veteran. SO now I'm starting to get flat out pissed off. So I placed the order and drove 20 min home and 20 min back with a copy of my DD214.I give it to her and she looks at it (and looks at it and looks at it) then says it has to have a picture on it. I friggin lost it. This kid doesn't even realize that the DD214 is what a veteran provides to prove military service and/or GET a Picture ID. Then she asked why it doesn't say it on my driver's license. THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO HAVE MILITARY STATUS ON YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE) and there is no REQUIREMENT to carry a VA ID Card. They should accept the DD241, the MMCC Card and Driver's license. So I ended up not getting any discount veteran or senior. I have NEVER seen a business run with such incompetence. The staff is uneducated on what qualifies a person as a veteran and what proof of military service is. They basically accused me of lieing by not accepting my DD214 and discriminated against me in the process. If it were not for the fact that this place was the only place that had what I needed I would have never gone there and can guarantee I'll never return.
