But they did do that few minutes ago, hilarious. Then, they said no discount on cash and they say, as they ring me up on cc., they say loudly that "no discount on cc!" They also, forgot an item in my bag.... hilarious. I go with flow. Unique fun items. Checking out experience is something else. Comedic.

We arrived at 4pm and several vendors were packing up. I remember going to the Midway Swap Meat in Kent at the old Drive in. The place the inspired the Sir Mix A lot song, "Swap Meet Louie". It was 2-3x the size with an indoor area, so my expectation for this place was the same. What I saw was a lot of tools. Mostly used, but some new. A little bit of clothing and a lot of collectables like sports card, Pokémon and matchbox cars. There were also a lot of ethnic food stands and limited produce. For a dollar, you can't complain, but it wasn't worth the long traffic abused ride. I saw a couple things I was interested in and almost bought, then google search showed me I could find them new for less. The two items I did buy, were a great deal. Great place to find gift ideas, just make sure you know the value of what you're buying.

Epic is the antique market that is the building next to the market. I always find good deals and new rings from one of the merchants. The antique market is the usual treasure, give yourself at least an hour to explore all the options. Housewares, outdoor things, and too much to describe. I had just come from the Lake Union Saturday Market and compared to the music, amount of vendors, and food trucks there, SODO was quiet and smaller. This one wraps around the antique shop but there was room for three food trucks and a small strip of vendors. There were a lot of people selling re-thrifted clothes. Looked like there were a few gems but you may need to do some digging around, and at that point I may just do my own thrifting. Of course like with any market there are a few quality things worth coming for. I saw a few hanging crystal decorations with moons and stars and I would love to gift one to my niece. The handmade jewelry selections were super cute and very nice quality. There are some of the same looking stuff throughout vendors though so really walk the tents through before making a purchase.

I saw some items I hadn't seen in a while, and there was ample things to look through, including some old video game accessories I hadn't seen in years! While quaint and has a lot of cool things to see, it's still definitely a second-hand store, and has a bit of a grime feel to it. Probably should keep some hand sanitizer at the ready when done. I didn't find anything that called out enough for me to purchase, so I can't speak to the staff or service there. From what I saw though they appeared friendly. Sort of appreciated the old-school nature of the front desk operations. I might be back, but probably infrequently.

I was greeted by a nice friendly man who gave me some info about the place and pointed out that the majority of the items are in the back rooms. This place is deceptively large. It's a bit messy in the back but there is a little bit of everything here. He also told me some items were new and didn't have prices on them but to ask if I wanted to know. I'd rather have items labeled so I can see if it's a good deal or not. I hate to ask each time I look at an item. Overall, it's a small business in a sus part of Seattle that frankly needs some more legitimate businesses. I even found a cool little Squidward stuffie that I purchased. I'll be back one day to check it out again.

As you walk through the store there is a room which often has 90's jams on. This room has more clothing and on the left side there are kids toys and sometimes bikes. It does feel like an estate sale/goodwill outlet vibe as some things are organized but also kinda random. The layout reminds me of a flea market in an another country. Unlike Out of the Closet and Lifelong in which you know the exact price of a record or a vintage binocular here you have to ask. I think this is part of the thrill of the search but also asking yourself how much you want to pay for this. Service is good and staff are chill and laid back. If you're around Lake city I would encourage stopping in. It's a nice refresher from the dated xxx shop next door, drug deals happening outside, and fentanyl slumps you see.

Unfortunately this and every option similar is pretty terrible. Let me save you the time of driving out there. Didn't really find anything that was worth buying. Even if I did there was no great pricing. Kinda wish there were at least some food options, but yeah nothing. As for food, I got to try the Crab Mac & Cheese from Sam's Crab Mac & Cheese and was completely sold after the sample bite (highly recommend!!). I also enjoyed a Mangonada from one of the Mexican food vendors, and the Watermelon Sour Cotton Candy from CottonMouth Confections, which was another standout and definitely worth trying!! It is not a true farmers market, a bit more of…read morethe flea market/festival vibes. you'll find food trucks (roasted corn on cob, Jamaican food, boba, pastries, etc), costume jewelry, used/vintage or artisanal clothing, perfumes, stuff for your pets, vintage bags, mirrors, etc. It's really more about vibes, vintage, and supporting local small businesses, you can get your food from the food trucks and sit by the Fremont canal watching the boats (and people) and eat your food. The market moves under the bridge during the winter and I can't speak to that experience but I love it when the sun's out on Sundays in Fremont!
