Wow, listen to my story! In April of last year I found out I was in Stage 3 Heart Failure, I ended up in the hospital 3 times last year, all three times I was in for at least a week. In September I was in for 10 days. So when I got home I was having a problem walking, I thought my legs got weak. I did 6 weeks of physical therapy with absolutely NO improvement! I wasn't able to stand for more than 10 minutes, or walk, with burning in my calves. I could not work, food shop, anything. I had been riding a stationary bike for 30 minutes twice a day and that went down to 3 minutes twice a day. My legs went numb. My heart doc had me get a spine CT, and they said it is most likely caused by my back. I had a motorcycle accident back in 2006, I didn't even take that into consideration, and totally forgot all about it. My doc wanted me to have a test, that I saw my dad had about 5 years ago. After seeing him scream while this test was done I asked if I could go to a Chiropractor first to see if maybe they can help. I chose The Village Chiropractor because it was close to my work and my insurance covered it! Dr. Kelly Delorey sent me for another x-ray and I returned the next day. After her evaluation of my CT and x-ray, she told me one leg was almost 3/4 inch shorter than the other. My spines a mess, from the impact of the car on my spine (whiplash). She started to adjust me and Today is the end of my second week, after my appointment this morning I was able to walk around the track one lap. I am seriously 50% better than two weeks ago. I cant wait to be 100% and that will be soon! Everyone in this office is kind and willing to help. I recommend Dr. Kelly Delorey to anyone that doesn't know why they cant walk right, or has spinal problems. My blood pressure before starting was 153/68, now it is 140/62. Having my BP reduce like that helps me with my fluid build up from the CHF. I lost 8 pounds of fluid the first week from being adjusted. She is seeing patients during the COVID-19 quarantine (chiropractors are essential!!) She is practicing safe-distancing for her patients. Worst people ever. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I had a neck problem growing up due to a traumatic experience. The problem just never went away. Recently, it started hurting a lot especially whenever I worked out. So I thought I'd give the chiropractor a try and went for the closest one to me. Little did I know that the only thing that these people want is your money. The "adjustments" did not help at all and the only thing that Dr. Lufkin could say to me is, "I'd like to see you again soon, so come back in 3 days". Basically, as soon as possible so he can collect more of my insurance money. My sessions lasted no longer than 5 minutes. I felt as if it is the McDonald's of the health care business. They try to get you in and out as fast as they can, and have you come back as many times possible. In addition to the useless sessions, I was hit with a $250 bill. On the first day of my visit, I gave them my insurance card and asked if I will be all set, and the person at the front desk smiled and said yes. I had no idea that I would have to pay for most of these treatments out of pocket. I felt assured that the only thing I would have to pay for is a small co-pay that I normally pay when I see my primary care physician, if I had to pay for anything. A month and a half down the line, and BAM! They tell you your balance after a couple months of treatment. Honestly, I feel like I've been con'd. I knew that bad people exist in the healthcare industry but I didn't think they would be in my neighborhood. Needless to say, after a few months of receiving adjustments that did not help and receiving a hefty bill. I will not be coming back to this place for treatments.
