I was going to have another builder do the job originally but he didn't communicate well and after 2 months of waiting for him to schedule I thought that was long enough so I put it out for bid ( and my other contractor friend understood). Daniel provided a reasonable bid and scheduled the job within a week. When his staff person called in sick his trooper of a wife came and helped him (instead of him canceling the job). He had my patio cover put together in two and a half days AND fixed my fence (a second job I asked him to do once I saw his hood work). I had purchased the same covered patio for a different house and it took two contractors a couple days longer to finish. I would definitely use Legacy again!!!

We requested a certain type of roofing which he was able to order during the pandemic and to our complete satisfaction gave us what we wanted. Not an easy task when you're looking at small samples so he brought us larger samples. He and his crew were very professional and completely answered any questiona we had before and after installation. We have had a fall and winter of rain, snow and wind and the roof performance has been great and the gutter leaks were fixed. Great product, great installer...what more can you ask for from a satisifed customer in Albany, Oregon!

There was a fire at my friend's rental property Sunday morning around 8 AM. Three of the four…read moreunits were ruined by the fire. I called the Corvallis Contractor that Sunday (yesterday) around 12:30 PM and I had a return phone call less than three hours later from Nick. He said, "give me the address and I will be right there. " I said, "the property is not in the Corvallis/Albany area, this property is in Salem! " Nick said, "that's no problem, text me the address and I will send you my ETA. " Less than 50 minutes later he was pulling up to save the day. He boarded up all of the broken windows and secured all of the broken doors and units to make sure nobody was going to mess with them for the night. Two hours later Nick delivered paperwork via DocuSign to the property owner outlining his process to work directly with his team and the insurance company. A few signatures and initials later it was signed, sealed and delivered electronically. Nick sent a text saying he had everything he needed and he would be back the next day to start kicking butt on the project. The very next day, Monday to be exact, there were four beautifully wrapped Corvallis Contractor vehicles with eight or nine employees I'm guessing tackling the job, covering holes on roof from the fire, securing up the rest of the doors and windows, getting security fencing to border the property and using some high-tech cameras on tripods that digitally map the damage of each unit. The final result is like using Google Earth only better. In less than 24 hours Nick got more done than I've seen a lot of contractors do in two weeks on projects like these. I know he's a busy guy because I see his trucks working on properties everywhere I go so the fact that he was able to go from the phone call to the handshake to the paperwork in only a few hours on a Sunday says a lot about his commitment to his business and his customers. I tend to write long reviews but it has been a stressful couple of days sorting out everything from this fire. I don't know what I would have done without Nick and his team yesterday and today. Thanks guys!! Time for some much-needed sleep, it's been an exhausting couple of days.

I would not recommend Nick, the Corvallis Contractor for the following reasons:…read morea) When I received his bill, emergency mitigation service call. I had to call him five days after the initial call to remind him of an appointment. b) Nick stated that the emergency was due to a large water spot. There were several small spots next to the bathtub. He brought in two small fans. The spots were dry in 48 hours. c) Nick stated that there was black mold. When his employees removed the fans, they said there was no evidence of mold. e) He stated that damaged subfloor was removed. It was not damaged and his employees put in half a piece of subfloor. The bathroom is a small bathroom - 4' 8" X 8' 7". f) He stated "installed vinyl". He works with subcontractors. I chose a remnant at the carpet store so it would be less expensive. g) He stated "drywall repair to pre-existing hole in sheetrock. I had new vinyl installed in the bathroom two years ago and new baseboard. When his employees installed the 1/2 piece of subfloor, they damaged the sheetrock. h) Nick stated that they touched up paint on the wall. His employees scratched up the paint on the wall when they installed the 1/2 piece of subfloor. Nick is not honest. He charged me at least 100% or more for inferior work.

He also removed/replaced three bathroom ventilation fans and rerouted associated ductwork. All of the work came in on budget and on time, and the framing, drywall/plaster work, tiling, and finish work were done to our satisfaction. Kyle was responsive to our requests, and talked with us at length to really understand what our vision of the project was. He was kind enough to point out other issues that we might want to have addressed later, as well. We'd definitely consider Thor Construction again for renovation needs.

Tal is a fantastic contractor who does great work. We've used him as a handyman for five years now…read moreand just recently had to replace our wooden entryway deck. Tal designed and crafted a beautiful cedar deck for us, all entirely on his own, with great skill and artistry. His rates are extremely reasonable and he is an easygoing, nice guy, too. We learned during the construction that he is a former organic farmer and one day he shared some of his pickling cucumbers with us, so in a week or so our fridge pickles will be ready to eat. We've recommended Tal to everyone we know and his deck has garnered praise from several people already. The craftsmanship is amazing. We are very pleased with Tal's work ethic and wonderful abilities to build and create. When we get a chance, we'll post a photo of the deck. Very highly recommend you give Tal a call when you need a handyman who's a licensed contractor, or a contractor in general. He's a great guy.

Tuff as Nails Construction worked on completing my 30'x40' metal shop. They worked with rolled up…read moreinsulation and metal sheeting. Josh and Joe are very efficient and great at what they do. Everything was explained clearly to me, the pricing, what work to expect, and completion dates which was also written out and signed. These guys are fast and do great work. They always told me what they were doing if it required small changes. Josh was constantly making recommendations to get quality products such as the best caulking and good metal paint. They are well known at the construction material stores throughout Albany and Lebanon, and these stores gave me contractor discounts when I mentioned their company name. Josh was transparent in everything that he did and spoke to me right away if he saw an issue. My shop is finally done and we are happy with the results. It passed the final permitting inspection a couple days later and we are good to go! Thank you Josh and Joe for your hard work and awesome craftsmanship!
