This process from beginning to end was much easier than we expected. The design team listened to our wants and needs and worked with us to come up with the perfect design and Natalie was always available to trouble shoot solutions to any concerns. During construction Jeff was exceptional. He kept a safe and clean job site. He carefully guided us through the process and made sure every detail was taken care of and completed to the highest quality. I couldn't recommend them any higher.

Even…read morethough my current job was too small for him he kindly provided me with a list of smaller contractors to try. I think also it was the second time I had contacted him over the years. The previous time many years ago when he was first starting, and even then his good character and business sense stood out to me. It's probably why I reached out to him again. Growing up as a "cop's daughter" sometimes my second-hand jadedness towards seemingly good character arouses my doubts. But if Jared is not genuine then I don't know who is. My grandfather was a general contractor, and I myself worked for a medium-sized commercial contractor for a short while so I am somewhat familiar with the challenges in organizing the work, including managing subcontractors. Jared's communication and management style is such a breath of fresh air. You just want to get behind his local business and see it continue to grow. Communicating to some of the general contractors in and outside the Corvallis-Albany-Salem area as the pandemic winds down, I now think the safer bet is to go big with Thayer Construction when the time comes. Just get all the jobs and remodeling done at once with him or not at all.

Once again Jerry has saved the day for me. I have two dogs. One of the dogs has back problems in…read moreneed of a ramp to bypass the steps in and out of the house. Jerry came out, took a look at the problem, gave me some ideas after I explained that the ramp needed to have a long, gentle slope as eventually my pooch would be in wheels (hind legs). He talked with me at length about options, helping me understand the dilemma and how to work within the parameters of the space. He had some excellent ideas on how to proceed and came up with a solution that was great for Reggie, my dog. Reggie now has a beautiful, functional ramp and the ramp looks well with the house. Jerry even suggested putting in a new brighter, light fixture that can be rotated to highlight the ramp. I stroke of genius! The new light fixture makes it much easier for the pooches to see the end/beginning of the ramp and for me to see them at night. His work is top notch, and uses the best products available within your budget. He is very meticulous and considers all the angles of the situation, such as, no sharp edges or corners for the ramp. He is very personable, easy to talk with even when I am not sure about what to do and able to work with people like me that does not have the necessary expertise. I trust Jerry that he will do his best. I recommend him highly for any project that needs to be done. Sincerely, Violet P.S. My pooches always enjoy seeing Jerry, too!!

Even when I had the idea to install a lower clothes bar for my clothes in our closet. As I am getting to the point where I will be needing a wheelchair full time. Lukas made us a second clothes bar, and shelf in the closet. To do just that. He also made us a better access crawl space door. For under our house. Because the one we had. Was cheaply made. And when our refrigerator went out during the remodel. No fault to Henderer. The refrigerator had been there since our house was first remodeled in 2006. Lukas went, and got their shop fridge. So that all of our perishables could stay cold. While we had to wait for the refrigerator to get fixed. Then after the remodel was over. Lukas came back a couple months later with the electrician. They helped us develop our vision for the new kitchen into a concrete set of plans, and they worked with us to keep the project within our budget. As construction progressed, they were communicative and responsive. We really appreciated the weekly meetings they held with us, where they updated us on their progress and consulted with us about any changes we needed to make to our original plan due to unforeseen quirks in our mid-century house. In the end, the work is solid and beautiful, and our new kitchen is a joy to cook and bake in. We really appreciated the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of the whole G. Christianson team. We felt like we were in good hands the entire time we worked with them. Just as importantly, everyone we interacted with during the project was friendly and professional, from Carl, the owner, to Anna, the designer we worked with, to Ben and the G. Christianson crew, to all of the subcontractors they brought in, and everyone else. We wouldn't hesitate to work with G. Over the course of 3 years they periodically worked on large projects for our home. Anthony and his crew became like trusted family members; they earned our trust by their conduct, work ethic and direct communication. Anthony's first priority is to provide the best "product" possible to his customers. We have been very happy with all the projects he has done: * Built a 120 ft beautiful block retaining wall with a metal railing that will probably last longer than our house * Tore out our lower deck and built a larger trek deck in its place, installed a metal railing, rebuilt the stair on the other side of the deck and reinstalled our hot tub! * Built a 20' x 18' attached, permitted shop * Turned an ugly storage room into a beautiful office * Built railroad tie stairway with a landing on both sides of our house and placed 10 huge rocks just where I wanted them. Put down landscape fabric and mulch. I appreciate that Anthony critically thinks through the projects, researches new products or construction solutions, and talks to vendors to obtain detailed information. He communicates well with city and county people and clients. Anthony and his crew are creative, and at times, artistic in their work. We loved our home before we found Anthony.
