We had our wedding reception at the Villa this September and it was everything we dreamed of and more! Biggest thanks to Ellen Jones (our event producer) and all the employees at this venue. The Villa is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are amazingly kept and beautiful! Our reception was in the tent and it provided the indoor and outdoor feel we were looking for! The food was absolutely amazing! Our guests absolutely loved all the passed hors d'oeuvres and meals. The Villa made communicating and planning so easy for us! Ellen was an absolute gem. She communicated extremely well from beginning to end and made the whole process very easy. Our wedding reception was somewhat unique (we didn't do our ceremony at the Villa and we wanted our wedding ceremony video to be played during cocktail hour) but Ellen made sure it was the exact vision I was aiming for. She sent many helpful tips throughout the process. We are forever grateful for Ellen and I hope everyone books with her and the Villa for the most seamless wedding process possible!

My husband and I got married on Jan 26, 2018 - a winter wonderland. I just can't say enough positives about this venue. They made the wedding of our dreams come true. From the gorgeous venue and amazing food, to the small details like dabbing out a lipstick stain on my coat without me noticing. Everyone was professional and kind - making what could have been a stressful process into a night to be remembered. Shout out to Stephanie - our dedicated coordinator. She helped me with everything from last minute questions to changing the seating plan the day before. If you're worried about pricing, just let them know your budget. Getting married on a Friday in January obviously points to a lack of funds, and they worked with us. We viewed several venues in this area, none were as pretty or offered the same value. If I could, I'd get married again here!!

Mixing up delicious drinks and even suggesting a few. + Large reception room with enough space for 10+ dining tables, DJ, decent sized dance floor, cake and/or head table. + Separate coat room. + Coffee & tea bar set up during the whole reception (and included a wide variety of teas - not just regular and decaf). + Clean restrooms. + Crisp salad and [seriously] awesome dinner rolls. + Delicious entrees! Stuffed chicken, potatoes & [non mushy] green beans were excellent! Steak looked mighty tasty too. + Plenty of space to move around and socialize. and one negative (and this seems to be a problem at just about ever single wedding I've been to... ) - AC could have been pumped up a bit more.

Camp Kiwanee - A rustic cabin.

My [now] husband and I fell in love with Camp Kiwanee's Needles Lodge as first sight. The camp and…read morelodge were a perfect combination of rustic woods and historic charm for our wedding day. The natural beauty that surrounds the camp instantly gave a sense of ease and we knew that this venue was exactly what we had been looking for. One of our favorite aspects of the venue is the wrap around porch that leads to a double deck overlooking Maquan Pond and tucked under towering pine trees. With that view, we were sure that we would end up with some lovely photos. We had approximately 140 guest, which Camp Kiwanee was able to accommodate comfortably. There was more than enough space for the DJ, guest tables, sweetheart table, buffet tables, dessert tables, and dance floor. We also had close to 50 of our guests stay overnight in the cabins following the reception. The cabins and bath house on the campground are kept clean and most cabins sleep up to 6 people. We also rented the camp pavilion for an after party spot, which was perfectly complete with a fireplace and picnic tables (and yes, electricity) set up inside. Our friends and family were able to stay and party with us in the pavilion as late as they wanted and when they had had enough they just walked over to their designated cabin for a cot to crash in! It was perfect! The staff at Kiwanee is amazing.Jim is the man! They have a list of recommended caterers, but were flexible enough to let us bring in whichever vendors we chose. They answer questions quickly and really work with you to make sure your wedding is perfect. We had so many special accommodations and they were always very supportive and helpful with everything we asked them. Part of the fun of having a wedding at Kiwanee is you can decorate the ceremony and reception site exactly how you want it, and they give you plenty of time to do that. Don't underestimate Camp Kiwanee because its a campground. The setting was beautiful and our wedding turned out to be perfect, everything we had hoped for, and more!

Lots of firewood around, bathrooms were clean, beach was lovely. We would definitely recommend bringing a metal grille to put over the campfire for cooking as there is nothing like that onsite. Recommend packing a fitted sheet, because a sleeping bag on a bare cot is much too slippery! And pack a broom to sweep cobwebs out of cabins! Definitely rustic, but great if you're prepared!
