Many top acts have visited here over the years, and it has hosted the infamous local Gang shows as well as loads of local shows, giving the children the opportunity to perform on a big stage. They also show the big films, although a few weeks after they have come out in the big multiplexes. Cheap and cheerful admission prices and a well stocked tuck shop. A lovely traditional theatre.

Staff are enormously helpful and friendly, the beach is out the door, the view is amazing, and the hotel defines old-fashioned class. Staff regularly serve out if turn which, apart from being an irritation, causes arguments between customers. As its very busy of a weekend the place is often untidy with beer spills on tables and empty glasses left laying around. Don't risk the real ales if you are used to a good pint as it's terrible here! Which is especially disappointing for a company priding itself on using locally sourced ales. Breakfasts are ok and are the only thing other than crisps, nuts and the occasional plate of chips that I will eat here. 3 out of 5 due to being a good place to start off and meet up with a good selection of draft beers, lagers and fully stocked bar.
