This was a fantastic experience…read more When I was younger I used to love clothes--I mean searched-for-the-clothes-boxes-instead-of the-toy-boxes-under-the-Christmas-tree loved clothes as early as age 3 (there is video evidence). Then life, graduate school and years of post graduate school in a sector that doesn't value style happened. I had ended up with a packed closet that was more of a time capsule storage unit than functional space, leaving me with mountains of things and still feeling like I had nothing to wear because the vast majority of it fit but was 10 years old. I had tried to clean it out 2 dozen times and just gotten overwhelmed and put everything back in. I also never felt like I could justify getting rid of anything because "there was nothing wrong with it" or buying anything because "I had a closet full of clothes" and therefore didn't need it. Cassandra and Lucia totally got where I was coming from and went through an extensive closet edit with me. They were very patient with my overwhelm and numerous questions; I really wanted to learn the why behind things and understand how things were coming together and what I really needed in my wardrobe to nail the style we put together with my Pinterest board. A lot of what I like is on chic end, but that feeling needed to be translated to everyday and wear-to-clinic attire, and I think we got there.
