This venue is lovely. You get what you pay for. Everyone complimented how wonderful the food was. Even though the cake was hot and melting The catering staff were exceptional you cannot find a group of people that will go out of their way like they did. The Security staff were so attentive and kept everything safe and secure. There was a problem with the air conditioning not working until the wedding started. They handled the problem the best they could. They gave the Bride and Groom a small refund for the venue being miserably hot. read more

I've been here a few times for food festivals, political watch parties, and also for private dinners. Each experience was unique, but one thing that never lacked was attention to detail or the natural beauty of this building. It's a great place to plan an event and the catering staff from CW Gin Joint next door is also superb. I recommend it if you are looking for an excellent event venue and have the budget to plan an event there. It's right in the middle of downtown Tampa too so there is ample parking and valet right there. read more

I don't wish thus often, but wish I were rich enough to come here often. What a grand party venue with clean sophistication. I love the big open spaces and seating all around. If you are looking for something COMPLETELY different than your ordinary Halloween Experience, The Vault of Souls is it. This is -not- your daughter's theme park experience, this is an Upscale experience that you won't find anywhere else. An elegant night of fear. Don't come with the expectation of lines, of others body to body with you as you're herded though some chintzy maze, because that is not here. What IS here? It is a lush party in the arrival, where you will be given your number. While you wait, you can enjoy ghostly music and dancers as they float through the room. Have your aura cleansed and be read by the resident ghost hunter. Enjoy hand passed appetizers or a drink from the bar as you wait for your time to come. When your number is called, you will be brought down to the Vault, here you will be given a choice of which path to choose, and that choice is WHOLLY up to you. This is a nonlinear event. There is no ONE way to go. 12,000 sq feet of space for you to look through. You are encouraged to open drawers, read everything and touch.. just not the spirits, though they MAY touch you. Each vignette is special, there are spirits in each room that will speak with you or not. They will interact with you in a different way. Your goal, to find the way out. They are just happy to see you. It may take you as little as 20 minutes to get out, if you just briefly look things over, but it can take 90 if you thoroughly investigate and immerse yourself, and this is something you DO want to immerse yourself in. The scenes are beautiful, the Spirits are engaging and it is a world that has been masterfully crafted by a Storyteller who is beyond comparison. When you do find your way out, you can wind down a bit in the Gin joint, enjoy the music and dancers that perform for you, and of course the delectable libations. Or have your tarot read as well as desserts and gelato up stairs in the reader's clearing. A couple of things to note: the event starts at $100.00 per ticket, and goes up to $400.00 Each ticket tier has it's benefits, and it is reservation only. HOWEVER Each ticket comes with valet parking - in downtown Tampa, this benefit alone is amazing. There is a dress code, Please don't come dressed in sneaks and a Tee, Come dressed to be immersed in the event, as if you were going out to the theater, Just, Please Ladies, no High Heels. The vault contains uneven floors, so spike heels are not suggested. The event is for 18+ and up, no children will be allowed. -YOU- will be wearing the masks and asked to not speak while in the vault, this is so that the spirits do not follow you home. The VP of the co., Ashley, called me after my poor experience. Therefore, I will revise my review accordingly. I wasn't given the opportunity to book the venue until it was too late, due to lack of communication from Morgan, one of the event coordinators. However, James was very personable, and I had a good experience touring the venue with him. Ashley was apologetic after I received subpar service. My complaint is that Morgan was difficult to work with, which may be quite problematic when planning a large event at this venue, as she is an event coordinator. The space is wonderful, and I would have loved to have hosted my event here, but sadly Morgan dropped the ball and I had already paid another venue in full by the time Ashley contacted me. read more

We had booked this venue for our "Sangeet" night as a traditional Indian dance event that happens for the day before the wedding. I honestly cannot speak more highly of a venue in the Tampa Bay area. I wanted a venue that was chic, in a nice location of town, and something that would wow our guests. The team recently put in a lot of effort to renovate the space, which includes beautiful tile floors in place of where carpet use to be on the sides of the venue and other beautiful features. Another unique feature of this venue is the bank vault located in the back of the venue, as it is an old converted bank. This is a great place for a photo opportunity for guests or even a place to put a photo booth up. Besides the absolutely stunning venue, the real highlight of this place is the team you would work with to have your dream event. Morgan, the event manager, has taken so much of her personal time to make sure every question that we had was answered and met us in person whenever necessary to make sure we were comfortable with the layout. The Vault of Souls experience is one to be had by lovers of the ether, the creepy, the artistic and really anyone tired of the cattle line humdrum slaughterhouse march that the haunt scene has become. It started with a spine tingling reception, eerie cello music performed by a beautiful young woman set the tone. We were cleansed of the negative energy surrounding us, then shown in. The reception space was beautiful and tastefully done. There were frequent, attentive servers providing appetizers and refreshments, which were included. A medium approached with very pointed messages for all in our party as well as a tarot reader who knew all of our secrets. The signature drink here, The Ventilator is a must try. After a short time here the Tabulator called our names. Our photos were taken and we entered a chamber to be instructed and masked. Next, the elevator. We arrived in the vault itself. I won't spoil the secrets of the denizens, but open each door, follow all directions, read everything, look for your own name and explore EVERYTHING. Every resident has a story and each is unique. Do not leave before you are sated. When you find your way out explore the third floor, there is much extravagance to enjoy. Here you'll meet readers if you desire a reading, a full espresso bar, dessert bar, gelato, relaxing, luxurious spaces to unwind and process the experience. I suggest visiting Mr. Hat. You'll know why when you have. Try the afagatto dessert. It's divinely rich and soothing all at once. When you've had your fill head back to level 1. The gin joint. It's exactly what it says, filled with 20's ambiance, luxurious seating or speakeasy tables are available. There are pianists, singers, flappers more attentive servers and characters await. Try the Lavender drink. Yumm. Upon your exit stop to check out your photo, gather your rememberances, which were perfect, and prepare to reenter normalcy. You'll leave wanting more. Valet is included and dependent on your ticketing option you can go from soda, water and coffee as well as apps included, to an all inclusive package which offers a seperate gathering area. After two very different event experiences here, I have come to think of this site as an epicenter for creativity in downtown Tampa. The location is smack dab in what I consider the center of the business district so it is easily accessible. There is street parking all around it, a surface lot across from it and occasionally valet parking available depending on the event. The building is stunning with a large, high ceilinged lobby and a variety of spaces that can be themed, decorated and transformed as needed. During a breakfast presentation, the main lobby was filled with light and created a spacious, but somewhat intimate, setting that offered great sight lines and ease of moving around. The sound system was perfect allowing every word of the presentation to be crisply and clearly communicated. During the Vault of Souls event, I explored the lower level where the vault is located within a catacomb-like labyrinth of small hallways and assorted rooms. Another level hosted a dimly lit but lively speakeasy that would be a great permanent addition to downtown and the top floor housed a really large space with small rooms scattered around the perimeter. There is so much character, versatility and charm that this venue offers. I look forward to lots more ways to enjoy, explore and adore it. read more

The Vault of Souls experience was a great evening, and I would highly recommend it. Every part of the performance was cleverly orchestrated with a great attention to detail. The Arrival was pleasant, and the Ventilater drink was refreshing and yummy! Without saying too much about the Ritual itself, I would say to take your time and explore everything. The actors were wonderful! The decor everywhere from beginning to end was absolutely fabulous. The place oozes with real history which we loved. We got what we came for which was an upscale, spooky experience which was "night and day" from Howl-o-Scream which we did the night before. If I had any constructive criticism it would be that it was a little difficult to follow the plot and "solve" whatever the puzzles were leading to "escape." We've done many escape rooms and we are generally good at those sorts of experiences but Vault of Souls might benefit from a little more direction on what is the goal. The book of poetry was very nice, and we really enjoyed hanging out in the Gin Joint. will definitely be back next year as this was a value-filled experience! read more

If you are looking for a unique venue for an event in downtown Tampa, I highly recommend The Vault. We held a luncheon for my husband's military retirement - buffet style for about 125 guests. James and Morgan kept in excellent communication with us throughout the planning process and had excellent ideas about the room layout for both beauty and flow. They had staff on hand to greet our guests, give them a name tag and information about the afternoon. The food was delicious and plentiful and they even boxed up leftovers for us to take home and enjoy. Taylor was our "day of" coordinator and made sure our guests were happy which enabled me to enjoy the festivities without worry. The space is stunning with soaring ceilings and lots of light. They have elegant tables, chairs, and linens which helps with the event cost and made less planning work for me. I highly recommend! read more

I don't recommend the Vault Ghost experience. One of the "ghost" ended up in my face. said some pretty terrible things, left in tears. I asked him to back up and to stop and he did not. For the money I could have just went to Busch gardens and had a fun experience. He was trying to be funny but was not. The other "ghost" were great but the one I could have done without. read more

Awesome Halloweeny experience. So much fun as a date night. Entrance was awesome with appetizers and drinks. Then the haunted vault experience which was more like a scavenger hunt. Then a 20s experience on the 1st floor with amazing flappers and jazz singers and musicians. Tarot readings and expresso coffee and sweets on the 3rd floor was an amazing add. Wow made for an incredible night!!!!!! read more

Thanks for the reply(Facebook). however I am now more upset than I was before. Upon learning we were "red flagged" because someone in the ladies bathroom, reported that my friend and I had said something, that offended them! ReallY? First of all isn't that what our men and women of our great country have fought and died for, our freedom of speech? Secondly, I'm pretty sure this event will offend someone on some level, so why would a person attend if they are so easily offended? Lastly, no idea what was even said. The man that escorted us out said, "He didn't like me." Now, I find that offensive! He doesn't know me,and didn't even tell me why we were being asked to leave. If whatever was said, was so offensive, the issue should have been addressed before going into the elevator. Instead we were followed, and separated from our friends. My friend and her husband were uncomfortable because they were repeatedly and purposely separated, not only from us but from each other, so they exited to the Gin Joint. Shortly thereafter, we were escorted out without being given a reason. Now, let's address another problem, security. There was none! What a perfect event for someone to bring a knife, or even a gun inside and then go crazy! Unfortunately this is the sad reality of the world we live in, yet people were not screened. Thankfully nothing happened but I think security would be more of a concern for everyone's safety than a possible offensive comment. Not a threatening comment, but allegedly a comment that offended someone in a bathroom. And still nobody can tell me what was said. Someone telling an employee, who admitted that he didn't like me, that they were offended by something said in a bathroom; was able to have my friends separated and us escorted out, without ever even saying what the problem was, is almost beyond comprehension! My daughter was married at The Vault on June 12,2016. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VENUE! The staff is wonderful,going above and beyond to make the day special! They let us set up the photo booth INSIDE the actual vault! The pictures are amazing, its in a perfect location, we drove 15 minutes to the airport to pick up our out-of-town guests,and we all stayed within walking distance! There is so much to do,our 4 days was not enough! The security was impeccable, they even had a security guard walk us to our hotel after the reception.Not one complaint,NOT ONE!
