Everyone had a good time and can I just say wow once again to the decor this place can pump out?

I wanted to love this place. Sadly, I can't recommend it at this time. The first impression, was…read morean almost pitch black parking lot, in an industrial/sketchy neighborhood. It was supposed to be a Tiki bar and considering some of the areas we've found gems, we pressed on. Once we reached the entrance, we saw two Polynesian masks, unfortunately, once inside, no totems and almost no "Tiki" drinks. We tried a Blue Hawaiian, which was not up to par, though ok, for the environment. Initially, we were greeted by Country Music, in a supposed "Tiki" establishment. They do have a few nice tiki roofs and even two of the staff (I assume the owners, were wearing Hawaiian shirts). Televisions were abundant, unfortunately, the bathroom situation at present is "mobile". Upscale port-a-pottys. The string lights they have outside, big bulbs and over half of them off when we went. Now for the service, we were greeted by a sign that said seat yourself, it was rather busy, so we decided to sit at the bar. We saw five bartenders, some of whom saw us sit down and get done with the menu, but they seemed more dedicated to their phones than their jobs. I had to get their attention. Five of them and not a single one seemed to care initially. Moving on, the place is right on a lake and if they actually put effort in and promoted it, this could be a spot. In it's current state it needs serious help and some better quality drinks and servers. I can't comment on the food, saw bad reviews and considering the "Tiki" drinks on offer, I didn't want to waste any more money. Hopefully they'll take this review into consideration and improve.

One of my favorite upgrades is the new deck--you no longer have to walk through sand and end up with sandy feet, which makes a huge difference. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced, the new staff is friendly and attentive, and the service has been consistently great. They also have live music four nights a week, which adds an awesome atmosphere. With its beautiful waterfront setting on the lake, great food and drinks, fun live entertainment, and welcoming staff, The Tiki Cove has become one of my favorite places to relax. It's clear the new management is doing an amazing job, and I highly recommend checking it out!

The two ladies working were very friendly but not that attentive or even in the building that often. I normally order a green tea but after a quick chat with the waitress I ordered a white peach tea on her recommendation which was excellent and a perfect accompaniment with the fresh salad that was served. The scone was perfect but the tiers is where I found the food to be a bit lacking with what I suspect to be store bought sweets and quiches. The cucumber dill sandwich was the best savory bite but I wasn't impressed by any of the sweets. I throughly enjoyed petting the sweet kitty named Marmalade after I paid for the tea experience. The room itself was very quaint but the floor is definitely unstable which is to be expected from a shed room. Overall I don't think I'll be back but it was a nice one and done.

Glad it wasn't raining. Once we got there, the walker almost did not fit through the door. Once in, our reserved table was not ready so we stood there, right up against other tables with people. Once seated, the server did not know we had already told them we had one vegetarian. There were five of us sitting at a 4-top and honestly, it just was not comfortable. Tea and food were dropped off but we waited in between for quite some time. When we finished, mom asked for a box. After waiting-again-we had to get the server's attention and remind her. We just feel the experience itself was lacking, too crowded in that little room, and just did not feel the price supported the experience.
