They have a wonderful selection, there is literally something for everyone here. The exposed brick wall and open workshop give Fawcett's its own hands-on personality. The goldsmith, Blaine, welcomed me kindly and was very helpful in giving me the shop scoop. While the show room displays mainly engagement rings, formal bands and the like, the business is built on custom designed jewelry. Everything is made right here in the shop, behind a wall divider, so as the goldsmith works, you can roam the shop and see him go. Its a different experience, and I liked it. The jewels are too rich for my blood, but maybe some day. Blaine mentioned that they were branching out with some newer and lower price range product, so don't let price stop you from going in for a peek. The only thing I can't comment on here is price - my guy refuses to disclose what he spent, but I would imagine it was a lot based on the quality of the stones and the gold work. Pricing is not for the faint of heart, but what you get is quality and craftsmanship. There is no rhodium plating here - you get the real deal. The customer service is also excellent, particularly when contrasted with the service of chain stores.
