Sure, they probably aren't the best quality or comfort, but for the lightness of summer, a cheap pair for lounging seems ideal. One of my favourite things that caught my eye were things fabulous creatures called Sweet & Sour Gargoyles, they are made in PEI, and are worth every penny. The average was about $100.00. The artists that make these have fantastic imaginations. I want one! This is a must have for me, it is on my list , a collapsible water bottle in lots of colours, made by Vapur. This is freezable, dishwasher safe (top rack),rolls up, stands up when full, has a place to write your name on it, this is such a great bottle, is any of my family is reading this, guess what, you are getting one as a gift. These are only $11.99, a great deal. They also have in the back of the store a nice selection of baby gifts. There is a great item there, they are bears that you insert the hot water battle or cold. This store has lots of options for you to choose from. Kayla told me that they try to support the Canadian artists as much as possible. Most of the products they seek out are Canadian made. We were impressed that the owner and others we met in the location were attentive, knew their business extremely well and offered advice to ensure the work would turn out well. Had we gone elsewhere, I would not have known to keep the euro hem in my new jeans, my husband's sport coat would have been taken in at the wrong seams, and I know his two nice shirts would have been a mess. Everything turned out better than I expected and we have found several other items that we will be taking in over the coming weeks. This is one of those boutiques that is just going to make me poor. Why? Because after my first visit this morning, all I can think about is who I can send gift cards to...which is soon to be just about everyone. Maybe I'll just slowly work through my entire Yelp friends list? The interior is a heavenly white with gorgeous painted brick walls, an open feel, round showcase tables, and a clean storage system that manages to keep a shop of small products looking both tidy and whimsical at the same time. I'm not sure if it's all the cute animals, trees, and nature prints, but it kind of feels like stepping into the world of the Fantastic Mr. Fox in all the right ways. They have gorgeous prints, cards, scarfs, key chains, tea towels, cat toys...yeah, just about everything. A huge amount of their stuff is locally made (anything with a little blue dot on it) which I really appreciate. I love supporting local businesses that support other local businesses. Inkwell is the reason I started buying cards again. I would much rather spend $5 on a locally made card than on something mass produced. And it's always a little piece of art too, so it's a two-in-one gift!
